Erin Andrews is giving a difficult personal update.
ESPN sports commentator, who’s spoken candidly about her fertility challenges, recently disclosed that she and husband Jarret Stoll encountered unfortunate news during their endeavor to grow their family from two to four.
On the May 22nd edition of Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Erin candidly shared her feelings, saying “Today, I wasn’t feeling up to doing the podcast.” She further explained, “As I reflect on my life and all that I’ve experienced, including adversity, this show often serves as a comforting refuge for me.
Indeed, Erin, who is the mother of 2-year-old Mack, openly discussed her past experiences of using her and Charissa Thompson’s show as a platform to share her hardships, especially those related to fertility. This is why she felt at ease in disclosing a challenging update.
She shared some difficult news today: our surrogate has unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. Despite dealing with this situation before, things seemed to be going exceptionally well – her heartbeat and numbers were excellent, which is why I even shared some promising news a few weeks ago because we had been so hopeful.
Meanwhile, Erin, aged 47, commended Ryan Musick for his exceptional performance as a temporary co-host alongside Charissa’s absence, but also shared that she was emotionally affected throughout, struggling to hold back tears due to the distressing news.
She also shared that her work significantly assists her in concealing her emotions. She further mentioned, “One aspect that saddens me is that I’ll need to become more adept at handling my feelings given this situation because the last time we experienced such a loss, I didn’t, and it took a toll on me.
Erin admitted that Taylor Swift was somewhat helping her through the struggle.
She shared, “The song ‘I Can Do It With A Broken Heart’ by Taylor Swift has been on my mind. You see, I’ve become quite adept at dealing with a broken heart, and I feel that infertility has given me an opportunity to prove it. When I decided to open up about how difficult infertility has been for me, I made a commitment to myself: I would be truthful about this experience.
In her own words, “I completely understand how you might be feeling – this is tough, and it’s normal to feel lonely and like a failure.
Nonetheless, it’s been noted that Erin, who tied the knot with Jarret in 2017, had expressed earlier that the hardships are compensated by the joy of having a child, and this sentiment has certainly proved true for her with their son, Mack.
Erin shared with TopMob News in March, “We’ve experienced a great deal of trauma due to our losses, but we are also aware that the outcome will be enjoyable in the end.
