The game “Styx: Master of Shadows” and its 2017 sequel “Shards of Darkness,” while not perfect examples of stealth masterpieces, are undeniably solid and enjoyable in their own right as stealth games. Soon, the developer Cyanide Studio and publisher Nacon will be releasing a new installment in the series.
The twosome have unveiled “Styx: Blades of Greed,” spotlighting once more the cunning goblin burglar named Styx. In this new adventure, Styx seeks to acquire Quartz, leading him through the hazards of a world entangled in an ongoing war between elves, orcs, and humans.
In terms of gameplay, Cyanide is highlighting a focus on “freedom and innovation”, a concentration on vertical terrains, fresh tools and abilities to commandeer, and more. Concurrently, the studio is also verifying that the storyline in Blades of Greed will revolve around the formation of the mercenary group Black Hand. For those not acquainted, that’s a mercenary group showcased in Cynaide’s fantasy action RPG series, Of Orcs and Men, which shares its universe with the game Styx.
The game titled “Styx: Blades of Greed” is set to release this fall on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. You can watch the trailer showcasing it in action right below.
