Suicide Squad: Isekai Releases Rocking New Music Video

As a gamer with a soft spot for both anime and DC comics, the Suicide Squad Isekai was a delightful blend of my two favorite worlds. The first season left me craving more, and while Wit Studio hasn’t confirmed a second season yet, the recent music video is a promising sign.

Although the first season of “Suicide Squad Isekai” has concluded, Wit Studio isn’t done with Harley Quinn and her eccentric gang just yet. Even though there hasn’t been an official announcement for a second season, Warner Bros. and Wit Studio have produced a fresh music video featuring animation to keep the DC villains in the limelight. The ending theme of “Suicide Squad Isekai” was one of the most memorable anime tunes of 2024 due to Mori Calliope’s exceptional musical skills, and now you can enjoy it any time you want by rocking out to it!

Although neither Wit Studio nor Warner Bros. has announced a second season yet, the latest Isekai anime has set up the possibility of the Squad returning. In the closing scene of the final episode, it was disclosed that the Joker had been influencing the “Isekai world” significantly. Assuming various personas such as Katana and others recognized characters, the Joker seemed to be orchestrating a disorderly realm ideally suited for Harley. If the series continues, it can be expected that the Joker will have a more prominent role, given his status as Batman’s arch-nemesis.

Go-Getters Gets Animated

The closing theme was more than just catchy due to Mori’s exceptional vocal abilities. In the show titled “Suicide Squad Isekai“, Amanda Waller and her Task Force X ended each episode of the first season with a dance performance. If there’s a second season for the anime, the Squad had better practice their dancing skills if they want to surpass the quality of season one.

Recently, we here at egmr.ru had the chance to chat with The Suicide Squad Isekai’s producer, Shinya Tsuruoka, who broke down how the Squad’s first anime came to be, “First of all, from an internal point of view, Batman Ninja (2018) was a big part of the story. The concept of producing an anime adaptation of DC with a Japan-inspired taste by Warner Bros. Japan, was quite successful with Batman Ninja (2018). This was a unique, distinctive project for WBJ. Following this success, we thought, “Let’s try this with a TV anime series using another DC characters!” So, we approached WIT Studio, one of the best studios in Japan, with the project proposal. They showed great interest, and the discussions progressed rapidly from there.”
