As a long-time fan who’s seen my fair share of ups and downs in the gaming world, I must admit, the rollercoaster ride that is Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been quite the experience! From the highs of its initial release to the lows of its disappointing financial performance and the subsequent studio layoffs, it’s been a journey filled with twists and turns.
Rocksteady’s “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” has been one of the year’s major disappointments, causing a $200 million financial hit and a 41% drop in revenue for Warner Bros. Discovery. The player count has significantly decreased since Season 1, and it’s been reported that layoffs have taken place at the studio. Despite these challenges, Deathstroke is set to join the team in Season 4, kicking off on December 10th.
Based on leaks, it appears that Batman might make a comeback in the game, which Rocksteady has not yet provided specifics about. Given that previous seasons have featured the Suicide Squad saving characters like The Flash and Green Lantern, this isn’t entirely unexpected. However, rumors suggest that the fifth season could be the last for the looter shooter, with the returning Justice League teaming up against Brainiac along with ARGUS in what seems to be a fitting conclusion to the series.
WB Games has chosen not to provide any specific comments, but they have promised that the game will include everything from its present plan of updates. Keep an eye out for further information about Season 4 and Deathstroke’s role in it.
The action-packed game titled “Suicide Squad: Take Down the Justice League” can now be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. For a comprehensive look at the core gameplay experience, feel free to peruse our review right here.
