As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that this month’s PlayStation Plus Essential lineup is nothing short of spectacular! The anticipation for Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been building for quite some time now, and finally getting my hands on it for free is like finding a golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
Having played the previous episodes, I’m eager to see how the story wraps up with Episode 8 and Brainiac’s final conflict. The addition of Deathstroke as a playable character and a medieval-themed Elseworld is the cherry on top! I can already picture myself slashing through hordes of enemies as the world’s greatest assassin.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered has always been a favorite of mine, and I’m thrilled to see it included in this month’s offerings. The cross-play feature and visual improvements make it even more enticing. And let’s not forget about The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe – an enhanced version of the 2013 masterpiece that will surely provide countless hours of mind-bending, philosophical fun.
To top it all off, I’m excited to see the offline mode for Suicide Squad and the opportunity to revisit previous seasonal content in the game. All in all, Sony has truly outdone themselves with this month’s PlayStation Plus Essential lineup – I can hardly wait to dive in and explore these fantastic titles!
Oh, and let me tell you a little joke: Why did the gamer get kicked out of the library? Because he kept trying to level up his Dewey Decimal System skills!
For PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, Sony has revealed the free games available from January 7th to February 3rd. Leading the lineup on PS5 is “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” developed by Rocksteady. However, it’s a bittersweet moment for this live-service looter shooter as its final content update will be released on January 14th.
In Deathstroke’s medieval Elseworld, players gain access to a fresh, playable character, as well as new equipment and weaponry. The eighth episode marks the climactic confrontation against Brainiac, wrapping up the story. Servers continue to operate, enabling players to revisit past seasonal content, earn LutherCoins, and spend them in the store. An offline mode is currently accessible too.
Other notable games are the updated versions of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered for PlayStation 4, offering cross-play functionality and visual upgrades, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe for both PlayStation 4 and 5. The latter is an enriched edition of the 2013 narrative adventure game, packed with new content and hidden secrets to elevate your gaming experience.
