As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen games come and go, some leaving lasting impacts while others are swiftly forgotten. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, unfortunately, seems to be falling into the latter category.
The support for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will conclude with the finish of Season 4 in January 2025, unfortunately. We had entertained the idea that introducing the playable character Deathstroke, who appeared to be the most intriguing among the new villains, might attract a surge of players. However, it seems the game is destined for obscurity instead.
According to Forbes journalist Paul Tassi, he has been documenting the struggles of Suicide Squad. He points out that the launch of Deathstroke (alongside the heavily reduced game price) didn’t bring in a late-career financial boost for publisher Warner Bros. Games. Tassi hints that this might be his last player count update, implying that the game’s days are numbered; the writer was one of the few passionate advocates the game has ever had.
It’s been doubtful that Deathstroke would change his ways, and it appears Rocksteady is eager to move past this specific storyline. Are you ready to jump on their next project, regardless if it features Batman or not? Feel free to share your thoughts in the shadowy comments section below.
