Suki Waterhouse’s Epic Met Gala Night: Inside the Star-Studded Parties

No surprise that Suki Waterhouse’s Met Gala 2025 look has everyone saying “OMG.”

On May 5th, the actress who stars in “Daisy Jones & the Six” made her appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, wearing a design by Michael Kors that was inspired by the 2025 theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”. The outfit was tailored from a suit. (Take a look at all the looks here.)

Michael transformed a jacket into a train, which the musician adored, saying it to Zuri Hall from TopMob,” explained the artist. “I thought his approach was fantastic, and it suits me perfectly for this year. I feel stylish and well-tailored, and Michael’s creativity is simply brilliant.

Furthermore, she expressed feeling fantastic with a glance, but what truly stood out was her comment that for the first time, moving around has become quite effortless.

Which is key, considering just how much she sinks her teeth into the annual event. 

On nights of the Met Gala, Suki confessed to TopMob that she tends to stay out very late. In fact, she recalled last year ending at around 6 a.m., followed by boarding a flight immediately afterward. She went on to say that the events are fantastic and there’s an abundance of parties to attend, allowing one to jump from one gathering to another, potentially visiting as many as ten different parties throughout the night.

Though she may make it to bed before the sun comes out this year. 

Ever since she gave birth to her daughter with partner Robert Pattinson in March, she admitted, “Now that I have a baby, I feel I won’t be able to stay out too late.

Two years ago, she attended the Met Gala for the first time without a companion, but back in 2023, she made her debut at the Met with Robert, marking their first public appearance as a couple. This was five months after they had officially begun dating, which was announced during Dior’s fall 2023 menswear show. This year, the theme of the event was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” Suki looked breathtaking in Fendi, and Robert perfectly complemented her in Dior.

In 2014, I made my debut at the annual event, gracing the stage while adorning a stunning pink dress created by Burberry. The theme for this special occasion was “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.” I was fortunate enough to attend with my then-boyfriend, Bradley Cooper.

She shared with Harper’s Bazaar in July 2023 that although she adored donning Fendi at the Met Ball a few months prior, her most cherished moment remains her inaugural Met event. This memorable experience happened years ago when she donned an exquisite pink rose dress made by Burberry.

The artist famous for “The Melrose Meltdown” song is recognized for her fashion inspired by the ’70s, frequently donning see-through materials and tassels to create a carefree image. However, she emphasizes that her individual style is consistently changing.

She expressed to Harper’s Bazaar how intriguing fashion is, with different eras constantly emerging, only for trends you once rejected to become irresistible. “A few years ago, I wouldn’t have dreamed of wearing mini skirts,” she admitted, “but now, I find myself craving denim miniskirts; it feels like I’m back to being 15 again.

She expressed, “My style is at its best right now, and it’s mainly because as I’m approaching my 30s, I sense a change. I pay more attention to my appearance – I no longer step out looking like a mess, but rather strive for elegance. This helps me find my place in the world better.

Currently, Suki is entering a phase of motherhood. Since the arrival of their daughter in March 2024, both Suki and Robert have been filled with love and joy as they embark on this new parenting journey together. Interestingly, their little one served as the inspiration behind Suki’s 2024 song titled “Big Love.

 

In her interview with Today in December 2024, Suki described a song as “a massive, almost explosive piece, centering around a quest for love or experiencing an immense, somewhat biblical form of affection.” She added that spending the last six months with her daughter has left her feeling incredibly emotional, similar to a heartburst.
