Super Mario Bros. Wonder Getting Talking Plushies

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Getting Talking Plushies

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming Talking Flower and Wonder Flower plushies from Super Mario Bros. Wonder have certainly piqued my interest. The concept of interactive plush toys has always intrigued me, and these chatty flowers seem to be a fun addition to any gamer’s collection.

Last year, the video game “Super Mario Bros.: Wonder” was launched on Nintendo Switch, introducing players to a fresh setting called the Flower Kingdom. In keeping with this theme, the game creators introduced several new features such as the conversational Talking Flowers and the Wonder Flower mechanic. This November, Japanese merchandise company San-ei Boeki is planning to release plush toys inspired by the game, giving fans a chance to own both a Talking Flower and a Wonder Flower plushie. The Wonder Flower toy doesn’t have any unique functions (it could have had lights), but the Talking Flower plush will replay 18 lines from the game in both Japanese and English versions.

In the provided image, you can observe that the Wonder Flower plush stands approximately 18 centimeters or slightly more than 7 inches tall, compared to the Talking Flower plush which is roughly 14 centimeters or around 5.5 inches. At this point, pricing details are still under wraps, and it remains undecided if these plush toys will be available in North America. However, it’s likely that enthusiasts can find them through import websites. The release of these plushies is scheduled for November, giving fans of Super Mario Bros. Wonder ample time to decide where they would like to buy them.

It’s a bit unexpected that there hasn’t been much merchandise related to the Talking Flowers from Super Mario Bros. Wonderland, given their popularity among players. These flowers function like commentators, providing tips and jokes throughout each level. Actor Mick Wingert provided all of the English lines for these characters during the game’s development. Initially, Nintendo intended to incorporate a live commentary feature into Super Mario Bros. Wonderland, but this idea eventually transformed into the beloved Talking Flowers we know today. This could potentially make for an exciting LEGO set or amiibo! For those who haven’t played the game, the Talking Flowers serve as in-game guides and sources of humor.
