Super Mario Odyssey, ARMS, and More Will Receive Free Nintendo Switch 2 Updates

In advance of the Direct, Nintendo Switch games like “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom,” “Kirby and the Forgotten Land,” and “Super Mario Party Jamboree” will have special editions tailored for the Switch 2. Notably, Nintendo has also promised free updates for several other Switch 1 games to enhance their playability on the upgraded system.

The list is as follows:

  • ARMS
  • Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
  • Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
  • The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
  • Game Builder Garage
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Pokémon Scarlet/Violet
  • Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain

The potential enhancements being discussed could either boost performance or introduce GameShare, however it’s important to remember that the specific changes can differ from one game to another, as Nintendo points out. Therefore, if you find that the quality of _Pokémon Scarlet and Violet_ is not meeting your expectations, try not to get overly disheartened.

Absolutely, there’s a chance Nintendo might roll out updates for more games down the line. We’ll have to wait and see, so keep an eye on their announcements!

On June 5th, you can get the new Nintendo Switch 2 at a price of $449.99. Some of the launch games include “Mario Kart World”, priced at $79.99 digitally, as well as “Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition”, “Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut”, and “Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition”. There are many more games available too.
