Surprisingly, Nintendo has announced a third instalment of “Mario Party” for the Switch before the console reaches its end. This unexpected addition is among several exciting games set to release in the final year of the console’s lifecycle. Before its October launch, “Super Mario Party Jamboree” has been rated by the ESRB, marking another significant step towards its release.
Without being too surprising, the game has been given an E rating, providing a peek into its varied selection of minigames. According to the description, “This compilation includes a series of mini-games (fun party games) where players aim to collect stars, coins, and rankings. As participants engage in diverse modes such as board games, rhythm games, puzzle challenges, flying activities, and more mini-games, they come across whimsical scenarios involving fantasy violence: firing cartoon cannons or cannon turrets at oversized characters; evading a robot with enormous boxing gloves or fists; engaging in hammer fights with large hammers; linking electric circuits to stun a boss character. Damage is portrayed through blinking indicators, comical sounds, and dizziness symbolized by star effects.”
In simple terms, “Super Mario Party Jamboree” includes approximately 110 unique minigames spread over seven different boards. Five of these boards are entirely fresh creations, while the other two are revamped versions of classic games from “Mario Party 1” and “Mario Party 2.” Additionally, this edition introduces a new multiplayer mode for up to twenty players named Koopathlon.
The new Super Mario Party Jamboree game, available on Switch starting October 17th, takes up around 6.5 GBs of room in your system’s storage.
