Nintendo has disclosed updated sales figures for its recently released Switch games, with Super Mario Party Jamboree being a standout. Launched on October 17th, 2024, this game has already sold 6.17 million copies by December 31st, 2024, showcasing the enduring appeal of the franchise despite a decrease in Nintendo Switch hardware and software sales from the previous year.
Just like earlier versions, Super Mario Party Jamboree features a variety of playable characters and boards for gaming (four accessible, three more to unlock). This game allows up to four players to engage in mini-games, accumulate Coins and Stars, and ultimately emerge victorious. What sets this Jamboree apart is the inclusion of Jamboree Buddies, each with distinct powers that can shift the course of play.
Additionally, it offers Pro Rules, ideal for those with a competitive spirit, and Party Planner Trek, a solo mode involving mini-games for NPCs which grants access to further zones. The reception of Super Mario Party Jamboree by critics has been remarkable, earning it the title of the highest-rated game in the franchise.
