Superstar Announces He’s Done with WWE

As a die-hard fan of WWE, I must say tonight’s SmackDown was filled with excitement as several Superstars made the jump from Monday Night Raw. However, amid all the action, a bittersweet piece of news emerged: Cedric Alexander, a name synonymous with WWE for nearly nine years, has decided to part ways with the company. The specifics are still unclear – whether it was a mutual decision, a release, or the end of his contract term. Regardless, I’m left eagerly awaiting what this talented Superstar will bring us next in his wrestling journey.

As a diehard fan of wrestling, I’m thrilled to share the news straight from the horse’s mouth: Alexander is planning his grand return to the ring, but only after he’s served his 90-day non-compete period. That means, for now, he’s still tied up with his current contract, so he can’t just jump ship and wrestle wherever he pleases. Keep an eye out for Alexander’s official announcement below!

On X Alexander expressed his gratitude for the past 8 1/2 years, stating that being a professional wrestler had long been a dream of his, dating back to when he was able to form memories. He pledged to continue pursuing this dream until the higher power allows otherwise. He ended with the hashtag #SeeYouIn90.

Over the last few months, Alexander has been working extensively with Je’Von Evans at NXT. They teamed up against A-Town Down and FrAxiom, and Alexander also had significant matches scheduled against Trick Williams and Wes Lee. Interestingly, Alexander first joined NXT alongside Ashante Thee Adonis; Adonis is still part of the NXT storyline, currently involved with Karmen Petrovic.

Regarding where Alexander might head next, he’d be a valuable addition anywhere; however, one destination seems particularly suitable. That could very well be AEW, as it already houses several of Alexander’s former teammates like Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP, who were all part of WWE’s The Hurt Business along with Alexander.

Originally split within WWE, MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin later formed the Hurt Syndicate in AEW. In about three months, one of the original members will become a free agent. It would be fantastic for Alexander to join them for a new beginning with friends, thus completing the group’s reunion if that is his preference.

At present, we’re left in a state of anticipation, as we must endure the passing of the next 90 days. We eagerly look forward to his return to action within the year.
