#MomTok is about to be put to the test once again.
The cast of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” experiences a shake-up with the arrival of a new cast member, known as Miranda, in the intense sneak peek of season 2 on Hulu’s reality show.
In a March 10 teaser, influencer Mayci Neeley wonderfully puts it: “Where are we all at on #MomTok?” She later exclaims with joy: “#MomTok is thriving!
Absolutely, Mayci is alluding to the controversy surrounding the use of sex swings among Utah’s social media influencers last season. This scandal was particularly significant as it strained the relationships, tested their faith, and even affected the reputations within this highly successful group of content creators, including Taylor Frankie Paul, who found herself in an extra-marital predicament.
One notable personality from the MomTok community, Whitney Leavitt, experienced a fallout during the previous season. This was due to her decision to separate herself from the group following allegations that she behaved unkindly towards them, as described by her previous companions.
In the preview, Whitney explains that others seem to be harboring resentment because… Yet, she admits she’s not aware of the reason behind it.
Nevertheless, with the majority of the fallout from the past scandal now behind us, another cast member for season two is poised to stir up some ripples.
Or, in a more conversational tone:
Although the aftermath of the previous scandal has mostly subsided, we have a new season 2 cast member ready to create a splash!
In the video, when one actor queries, “Is that Miranda?”, another replies, “Hold on, isn’t that the girl who was dancing with Taylor?
A screenshot from Instagram appears to suggest that Miranda McWhorter, a former friend of Taylor’s, will be joining for season two. This is the same person who was implicated in partner-swapping within Taylor’s friend group, which was made public in 2022. However, it’s worth noting that Miranda had previously denied any involvement in such activities related to sex swinging.
Along with Miranda’s introduction being filled with “secrets, deceptions, and accusations,” it seems that Hulu predicts this will ignite a fresh wave of controversy among the women. The question posed in their announcement is: “In the struggle for the heart of #MomTok, will betrayal tear apart their sisterhood, or will uncovering the truth bring them liberation?
“I don’t want to fight with you,” he tells her, to which she simply replies, “So, then, don’t.”
Speaking of Taylor, the preview also teases tensions between her and now ex Dakota Mortensen.
“I don’t want to fight with you,” he tells her, to which she simply replies, “So, then, don’t.”
Get a glimpse into the unfolding events hinted at in the trailer before. On May 15, the second season of the series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be available to stream on Hulu.
Regarding Taylor’s current state after her September breakup, she posted a heartfelt message during the holiday season.
In a heartfelt post on TikTok during December, the user, who has a 9-month-old son named Ever True alongside Dakota, and also shares daughter Indy, 7, and son Ocean, 4, with ex-husband Tate Paul, expressed her feelings in a tearful video. She wrote, “From chaos to utter quietness.” In essence, she conveyed that she wouldn’t want anyone else to experience the pain she is going through. If someone finds themselves in a similar situation, she suggested they take a drive, let out their emotions by screaming and crying, as she believes avoiding the pain will only make it more intense in the long run.
She captioned the post, “I was told you got through this once, you’ll get through it again.”
