As someone who has been following the gaming industry for decades, I’ve seen my fair share of console launches and rumors. However, the prospect of a new Nintendo console always sparks a special kind of excitement within me. The last time we had a new Nintendo console was back in 2017 with the Switch, which has proven to be a game-changer.
According to repeated statements by Nintendo, they plan to reveal their upcoming console before the conclusion of this financial year. This implies that we’ll get formal updates about the Switch’s successor before April 1, 2023. However, a specific date for more detailed information has yet to be announced.
In a recently published podcast, well-known source Nate the Hate has shared information about when Nintendo might unveil and release the Switch 2. According to this source, Nintendo could announce the new console either in January or March. After this announcement, there is reportedly an event scheduled for May which will solely focus on the next-generation console. If the information is accurate, the console should then launch in June.
So far, Nintendo hasn’t revealed much about its upcoming console. However, they did confirm last month that it will include backward compatibility and be compatible with the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. You can learn more about this through the provided link.
