If you haven’t heard yet, the hit cooperative adventure game Split Fiction that just came out is now set to make its way onto the silver screen! As reported by Variety, some notable figures are already involved in the adaptation process.
According to the latest update, Sydney Sweeney will not only be acting in the upcoming movie but also serve as its executive producer.
The actress is widely recognized for her performances in shows like Everything Sucks!, Euphoria, among others. As per reports from Variety, it remains undecided which one of the two main roles she will take on.
The same report claims that Hollywood director Jon M. Chu will direct the adaptation.
Previously, Chu has been involved with projects such as Wicked (with its soon-to-be-released follow-up), In the Heights, and Crazy Rich Asians.
The screenplay is currently being crafted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the duo responsible for writing the scripts for Deadpool and Wolverine in the past.
According to the report, it seems that the Split Fiction film boasts a considerable amount of genuine talent.
In the game’s narrative, Mio and Zoe, two ambitious authors, find themselves trapped within simulations of their fictional realms they created. This scenario could make for an entertaining action movie, but it’s important to note that the collaborative aspect of gameplay may not translate well during the adaptation process.
So, what are your thoughts on everything that’s happening? Are you excited about the possibility of a Split Fiction film coming up soon? Share your opinions in the comment section beneath this post.
