Sydney Sweeney's Jaw-Dropping Met Gala Look Sparks Wild New Rumors

We’re not looking at anyone but Sydney Sweeney at the 2025 Met Gala.

At the event on May 5th, the actress from “Anyone But You,” Sydney, captivated in a black gown adorned with beads and featuring a revealing neckline that was accentuated by a brooch at her throat. Her inspiration for this bespoke Miu Miu outfit? I proudly donned an attire that embodied the “Tailored For You” dress code, a theme spearheaded by the esteemed Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, high-speed racer Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, and musician Pharrell Williams at this year’s event. Vogue editor Anna Wintour held her usual position on the committee for the magazine’s event.

Regarding Sydney, she went alone to the event a few weeks following the public announcement of her breakup with Jonathan Davino.

However, this wasn’t Sydney’s first iconic look since her split.

On April 1st, following numerous reports of her breakup on March 31st, the actress from ‘Euphoria’ was seen sporting a wedding-like attire. She donned an ivory satin gown by the bridal brand Wiederhoeft at a CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas.

Although Sydney’s news of a split has been circulating, her recent public outings have fueled speculation about her current relationship status. Notably, she was seen reuniting with her ex in Los Angeles and Florida in April. On each occasion, they appeared friendly, as an eyewitness reported to TopMob News that “Sydney and Jonathan sat next to each other, both smiling.” However, Sydney was photographed without her wedding ring.

Besides Jonathan, Sydney has been socializing with her co-stars too. In March, she was present at the wedding of Sydney’s “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell’s sister. Although there were whispers that they might be a couple, these rumors were dismissed by none other than Glen’s mother.

According to Cyndy Powell, who spoke with the Daily Mail on March 31, they are undeniably not a couple. She mentioned that Sydney was present at Leslie’s wedding in Texas, but she went there with a friend.

She made it clear that they hold Sydney in high regard, referring to her as more than just an acquaintance. They’ve been close friends for quite some time, spending lots of moments together, but unfortunately, it has been a while since they last saw each other. Sydney is indeed a cherished friend and they all look forward to being around her.

A few weeks past, she was seen at the Stagecoach music festival on April 28, accompanied by Brandon Sklenar, her fellow actor in the forthcoming thriller titled The Housemaid.

There, amidst the energetic crowd, I was positioned right behind Brandon, who was jamming along to the music with his friend Sydney in front of him. However, it seems that Brandon has someone special in his life, as he’s been walking red carpets hand-in-hand with Courtney Salviolo since 2020 – most recently at the premiere for his show, “1923.
