The buzz around Nightdive Studios’ System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster (previously known as System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition) has started building up due to its name change and limited updates so far. You can now add it to your wishlist on Steam, the Nintendo Store, the Xbox Store, and the PlayStation Store. While the price hasn’t been disclosed yet, new screenshots are available for a sneak peek.
The Steam listing provided additional information on various aspects such as expanded mod options, a total of 50 achievements, improved controller compatibility, and overall user experience enhancements. Visuals like characters, weapon designs, and animations have been refined, and it supports frame rates up to 144 FPS in conjunction with Ultrawide-screen displays.
The Xbox Marketplace details reveal that the game will support 4K Ultra HD and 120 frames per second, in addition to Smart Delivery. A launch date has yet to be announced, but Nightdive Studios plans to disclose further information on March 20th during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase. Keep an eye out for updates until then.
25-year anniversary edition of the game “System Shock 2” will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, personal computers, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
