On the May 21st episode of their “I Do Part 2” podcast, T.J. Holmes started by saying, “I’m T.J. Holmes—together with my dear friend, my collaborator, my podcast co-host Amy Robach. ‘My loved one,’ ‘my partner,’ ‘my husband.’

Amy proposed adding the phrase “love of my life” to her intro, a suggestion that T.J. readily accepted right away.

He jokingly added, “That you had to feed me that line is a little disturbing.”

Previously, this pair, who were legally bound to other partners when their relationship became public knowledge, had stirred up marriage gossip. In March, Amy was seen sporting a large gemstone on her wedding ring finger while out on a date with T.J. at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

And the pair have been open about just how seriously they’re taking this relationship.

Amy expressed on their April 2024 episode of the Amy and T.J. podcast: “In our minds and hearts, we’re fully prepared to promise each other forever.” She told T.J., “I’ve made it clear to you that I want to spend my life with you, and I believe you feel the same way.

52-years-old stated, “I seek a soulmate. I yearn for companionship. It brings me joy to share evenings with you and start my day alongside you.

However, Amy noted at the time that she and T.J., 47, “haven’t figured the marriage thing out yet.”

Amy declared, “Our relationship is just between us.” She added, “I mainly want to exchange our vows in a simple, intimate setting – just the two of us.

Amy was previously married to baseball player Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008 and actor Andrew Shue, known for his role on “Melrose Place,” from 2010 to 2023. However, she revealed that they parted ways in the summer of 2022, prior to her relationship with T.J.

Similarly, T.J. mentioned that he had parted ways with attorney Marilee Fiebig, whom he wed in 2010, after he began dating Amy. He formally submitted the divorce papers in December 2022.

Since then, Andrew and Marilee have been romantically linked to each other.

Following her appointment to the ABC morning show in 2012, Amy Robach assumed hosting duties for the slot following Good Morning America, as the Pandemic: What You Need to Know series was rebranded as GMA3: What You Need to Know.

As a loyal associate who joined ABC News in 2014, I was fortunate enough to forge a strong bond with Robach. Later on, I was privileged to be assigned as her co-host.

Robach told People, “I couldn’t have asked a more suitable person to consult about my thoughts on, because for the past five years, we’ve been brainstorming ways to collaborate.

Holmes remarked, “I feel like we’re almost siblings, as if we can complete each other’s thoughts. Our rapport is fantastic, and it’s a rare thing to find such trust on set. I know that no matter what happens or what I say, he’s always there for me, and I’m the same for him – that’s invaluable.

Additionally, Robach mentioned that she and her spouse, Andrew Shue, frequently enjoyed going out with Holmes and his spouse, Marilee Fiebig, as a foursome.

In a straightforward and conversational manner: Robach, Shue, and Holmes participated in the United New York City Half Marathon. Later on “GMA3”, Holmes revealed that it was his fellow anchor who inspired him to take part in the race.

Robach turned to her co-worker and said, “You seemed to have enjoyed the race as much as I did, and your grin made that clear. Just so you know, TJ managed to outpace me in the end.

Holmes modestly concurred.

“We were running together,” he said. “And I ended up a second ahead, officially.”

Instead, during their latest endeavor, which was participating in the New York City Marathon, neither Holmes nor Robach had Shue accompanying them.

Later on, Robach disclosed that although her and Shue were no longer together at that point, she hadn’t made their separation public knowledge yet. However, it wasn’t as if she was intentionally keeping the fact hidden.

She clarified on her podcast, Amy and T.J., “It was an open secret among my close friends that I was going through a divorce.” She had removed her wedding ring in early August, making it evident to anyone familiar with her that she was in the midst of a divorce. Unlike me, T.J. prefers to keep his personal matters private and opted not to disclose this information.

In an unexpected turn of events, the news anchors unwittingly transformed into the subject of the story when the Daily Mail released pictures and video clips capturing them in intimate moments across various outings. These included a dinner in New York City and a trip to Upstate New York. The intriguing images were taken during a time when both were apparently still married to their respective partners.

Not long after news about their rumored relationship spread, the anchors of GMA3 temporarily disabled their individual Instagram profiles. Shue additionally deleted all pictures featuring Robach from his personal Instagram.

Upon their return to work on December 1st, it’s said that Robach and Holmes appeared as if they were a couple, having come in together.

And the following day, the GMA3 hosts alluded to the drama that was percolating behind the scenes.

During the performance, Holmes remarked with a touch of wistfulness, “I wish it wasn’t Friday because this week has been fantastic. I’d love for it to continue, stretch on, and endure even longer.

Eventually, their time together was abruptly halted during a temporary break while an internal probe focused on their romantic involvement took place.

In a memo sent to staff on December 12th, ABC News President Kim Godwin acknowledged that the ongoing coverage might be diverting attention from the significant tasks our team is engaged in here at ABC News. She also mentioned that there will be a series of anchors filling in for GMA3 temporarily.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me express my eagerness for us to maintain our exceptional performance in our core competencies. Allow me to convey my immense pride in each one of you for the relentless dedication and professionalism you’ve shown thus far.

Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig after nearly 13 years of marriage.

The couple, parents of a 10-year-old girl named Sabine, had quietly gone their separate ways, as confirmed by Holmes. He mentioned that he hadn’t initially disclosed his new relationship with Robach because he was still working through the emotional aspects of his separation within his family.

In the first episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast, Holmes clarified that he was referring to his 10-year-old daughter. He added that he was working on helping her adapt to their recent change in family dynamic since they were no longer together.

Later, it came to light that Holmes had kept his separation from Fiebig a secret, not having informed his mother yet, before the media exposed his romantic involvement with Robach.

Pondering over the idea of sharing this with the executive and the team, I found myself questioning, “What could be the reasoning behind me doing so?” Reflecting on it now, I can see that perhaps a misstep was made.

In October 2023, I, along with my partner Holmes, officially ended our marriage with Fiebig, as we couldn’t ignore the lack of discretion he showed in his new relationship.

ABC News confirmed that Robach and Holmes had exited the company in a Jan. 27 statement.

After some fruitful discussions with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes regarding various possibilities, we collectively decided it would be most beneficial for all parties involved that they depart from ABC News, a representative of our organization shared with TopMob News previously. We appreciate their skills and dedication over the years and are grateful for the valuable contributions they have made to our team.

As the decision approached, the couple was frequently seen together during the holiday season. For instance, they were spotted at the Atlanta airport, where Holmes was seen embracing Amy while they wheeled their luggage. Additionally, they appeared to solidify their relationship with a passionate kiss in Miami over New Year’s Eve.

Separated since the previous summer, Robach and Shue’s divorce was finalized.

In February 2010, they tied the knot, marking the second wedding for both Robin Roberts and the former Melrose Place star.

From 1996 to 2008, Robach was married to Tim McIntosh. Together they have daughters Ava and Analise. On the other hand, Shue has sons Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt from his marriage with Jennifer Hageney. In 2021, both Robach and Shue collaborated on a children’s book titled “Better Together!”, which narrates their experiences in blending their families.

Approximately a year since their relationship became public knowledge, they ultimately confirmed it on Instagram.

On October 23rd, Holmes shared multiple pictures showing him and Robach enjoying a close bond while watching a University of Arkansas Razorbacks match during a return to his former school.

Apart from that, Robach additionally posted pictures from the event on her Instagram, which included a snapshot of the reserved seating signs.

“Hog for a night,” the University of Georgia alum captioned the post. “Dawg for life “#truelove.”

At Jingle Ball 2023, Robin and John showed their festive mood by walking the red carpet together for the first time as a couple.

At the concert, Robach opted for a sleek, black leather mini dress without straps, contrasting with Holmes’ choice of a tie-less black velvet tuxedo made of velvet. The pair didn’t hesitate to show affection as they posed for pictures, and Robach even posted a video on social media showing Holmes placing a toy animal on her chest, which elicited laughter from Holmes herself.

Four days prior to the debut of their fresh iHeartRadio podcast titled “Amy & T.J”, they enjoyed a celebratory evening together.

In the first episode of their new podcast, “Amy & T.J.”, Robach and Holmes decided to speak openly for the first time about the controversy and revealed personal aspects of their relationship.

Holmes clarified, “It appeared we were exposed for being in a relationship,” he said, “but people mistakenly assumed it was about infidelity or cheating on our spouses. However, an unusual fact is that the day those photos were taken and when the article was published, we had both already initiated divorce proceedings.

In addition, they shared insights into how the controversy affected them personally. Robach described a specific incident where she hastily went to Holmes’ residence following a worrisome text from him stating he didn’t feel like getting out of bed, a sentiment she understood herself.

She conveyed, “Who’s got my back now? Who stands by me? Can I work again? Will I be trusted once more?” she wondered. “Will the truth of what actually transpired prevail over the stories people have concocted? These were all challenges we faced and grappled with, but I consider myself incredibly fortunate that we had one another.

It emerged on the very same day that their ex-spouses debuted a new podcast, various sources confirmed that Shue and Fiebig have started dating.

Since then, they’ve been seen together in various public events, such as the Z100 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball. At this event, they were accompanied by Annalise, Amy’s daughter from her marriage to Tim McIntosh, and Sabine, T.J.’s daughter from his marriage to Marilee Fiebig.
