- At the time of writing, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon has more than four times the average viewership on the platform, which is impressive given the game’s size.
- Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon’s popularity on Twitch may also boost its player count and sales as we head into the weekend, when more people can try the game out for themselves.
2020 has seen the release of one of the year’s largest games: The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. For the first time, this classic RPG, with its quirky charm, is now playable on contemporary systems. This remaster allows us to revisit our cherished guilds, relive our favorite quests, and once more grapple with some of Oblivion’s design choices that feel decidedly outdated – an experience that is a testament to the power of nostalgia.
Any game that manages to come near the benchmarks set by Oblivion in multiple areas can consider itself lucky, and that’s precisely what a recently released RPG titled Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon has achieved since its debut. Often described as an RPG resembling “scrolls,” this game is influenced by Oblivion and made its entrance earlier this week to generally favorable critiques and a fairly good peak player count.
Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon Has Managed To Attract More Twitch Viewers Than Its Inspiration Oblivion

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been diving deep into both Oblivion Remastered and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. While the former is racking up positive reviews and attracting a large player base, it’s one particular aspect where Tainted Grail takes the lead that caught my eye, as reported by Game Rant.
In terms of Twitch viewership, Oblivion has seen a significant decline over the past few days. According to SullyGnome, the average daily viewership now hovers around 4,000.
At this point, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is drawing an average audience on Twitch of approximately 17,000 viewers, which is about four times greater than Oblivion Remastered’s current viewership. However, it should be noted that Oblivion Remastered has been available for a longer period. Yet, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon doesn’t have the same level of popularity or influence as Oblivion Remastered overall.
Despite having fewer players and sales compared to Oblivion Remastered, it’s astonishing that the game has managed to garner such a large audience on Twitch. It’s plausible that this widespread appeal among streamers could increase its player base as we approach the weekend and end of the month, when more people might choose to try out the game for the first time. Given that Oblivion is currently tough to compete with in any aspect, here’s to hoping that Questline’s new RPG maintains this momentum.
