As a longtime fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Paramount+ series, “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Having grown up with these iconic characters, their quirks, and their adventures, I’m thrilled to see familiar voices return and new ones join this beloved universe.

In August this year, Paramount+ is set to debut the freshly minted 2D animated series “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which will carry forward the escapades of our beloved turtle heroes, as previously portrayed in the 2021 film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” It’s official now, according to ComicBook, that several voice actors from the movie are coming back for this TV venture, along with some exciting new additions to the cast of “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and you might be in for a pleasant surprise when you find out who they are.

Rose Byrne is set to come back in TMNT, taking on the character of Leatherhead once again. In this animated series, Leatherhead is grappling with adapting to life beyond Superfly, but it’s proving to be a challenge for the giant Australian crocodile. With a fondness for grilling shrimps and embarking on journeys, Leatherhead cherishes the Turtles and her Mutanimals companions. However, she faces difficulties in fully embracing her identity as both an outsider mutant and an Australian residing in New York.

In the animated adaptation of “What We Do in the Shadows,” Natasia Demetriou’s character Wingnut, the mechanically inclined bat Mutanimal, will be reunited with Donatello, discovering a shared passion for anime, comics, and sci-fi reptiles. However, Wingnut is not fond of her underground dwelling-places, as she harbors fears of the dark, feels claustrophobic, and has developed an unwanted anxious habit of excessive doomscrolling.
