As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that this week’s lineup is truly a sight to behold! From the intricate strategy of Total War: Three Kingdoms to the hauntingly beautiful Silent Hill 2, there’s something for every taste.
2024’s last weekend has arrived, with the New Year swiftly approaching where we eagerly hold our breath for a brighter 2025! Let me share some entertainment options that we have planned for you.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m diligently chipping away at my mountainous game backlog to compile my personal Top 10 Games of the Year list. Currently, I’m engrossed in the captivating world of Ultros and traversing Indiana Jones’ Great Circle adventure as the iconic hero Indy, an experience that’s proven to be a thrilling treat so far!

The gaming continues, but as was to be expected, I have become distracted. PlayStation progress continues, but the PC grand strategy Total War series is calling, my great and enduring love. Total War: Warhammer III has received a bunch of high-quality updates and DLC (developer Creative Assembly crawling back to its core fanbase after FPS Hyenas didn’t pan out), and I really want to fire up a new Total War: Three Kingdoms campaign; a miserly reviewer, it’s the first of just two 10s I’ve ever bestowed, and I could (and likely will) play it forever.
Liam Croft
To avoid taking on anything major due to a hectic beginning of 2025 filled with game reviews, I’ve opted to revisit Silent Hill 2 to complete the Platinum Trophy. If I find myself with some extra time, I plan to level up the characters in LEGO Horizon Adventures as well, aiming for the Platinum Trophy there too.

As I delve into Baldur’s Gate 3, I’ve found myself deeply immersed in Warhammer 40k: Darktide as well. At first, it wasn’t quite satisfying the same craving that Vermintide 2 did for me – a game I adore dearly – but after approximately 10 hours of playtime, something changed. Now, I’m powering through missions at an unprecedented speed and the excitement never wanes. If you have a couple of friends to join in, it’s definitely worth checking out!
Sammy Barker
Over the upcoming weekend, I plan on getting up-to-date with all my collectible games before the New Year arrives. That means I’ll primarily be playing Zenless Zone Zero, Honkai: Star Rail, and Infinity Nikki during that time.
Scott McCrae
There’s no better way to celebrate the end of the year by battering fascists in Indiana Jones, and I’ll be playing some Dragon’s Dogma 2 to end the year since its my GOTY.

Besides consuming more chocolate than is advisable, I’ve been making steady progress with Astro Bot. I’m just as captivated by it now as when I first started! I might treat myself to a bargain from the PlayStation Store sale, though I haven’t decided what yet. Here’s wishing everyone an amazing holiday season!
