Tarot Secrets: How a Card Reading Sparked Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Romance!

Marielle Hadid found herself involved in one of Taylor Swift’s series of responses to Travis Kelce’s romantic advances.

Approximately two years into their relationship, the “Karma” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end have been together, Gigi Hadid‘s half-sister disclosed her role in their initial conversations by revealing a favorable tarot card prediction.

On the Nice Girls Don’t Win podcast on May 21st, Marielle shared, “I drew a card indicating she should consider dating him, as I had noticed his intentions towards her. I then suggested this idea to Gigi.

Certainly, it’s worth noting that Marielle disclosed her attendance at the Santa Clara leg of the Eras Tour in 2023. This event took place only two days following Travis’s notorious remark towards Taylor on his New Heights podcast in July of the same year.

In simpler terms, Marielle said, “I encouraged her, ‘Why not give it a try, even if it’s just for fun,’ before they had even met. At that point, I drew a card for her, but I can’t recall the specific deck. However, I remember the word ‘swiftly’ was somehow related to the reading.

Naturally, Taylor found the tarot card reading perfectly cryptic and Machiavellian. 

Marielle remembered, “That was incredibly interesting,” noting that Taylor shared she’d never experienced a tarot card reading prior.

Marielle playfully claimed a share of the credit for Travis and Taylor’s sudden romance, humorously stating, “I’m the one to blame for that… unless, of course, they split up; then it’s nobody’s concern but their own.

In her own words, Taylor had earlier confessed that Travis’ playful banter during his podcast, specifically when he expressed being “hurt in the butt” over missing her at her Kansas City concert on the first weekend of July 2023, was ultimately what won her over.

In her interview with Time later that year, she expressed that the gesture was not only “cute” but also “extremely tough.

She mentioned this to the media, “We began spending time together straight away.” This secret period, unknown to others, was precious since it allowed us to grow closer and understand each other better, something for which I’m thankful.

In the pulsating heart of summer 2023, as I stood amidst the sea of fans, my heart pounded with anticipation at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert at the legendary Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Little did I know, this electrifying night would mark the commencement of a love story between my idol, Taylor, and Travis Kelce, a tale that would captivate me as an obsessed fan!

As a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end attended the concert, hoping to present Taylor with a friendship bracelet bearing his number. Unfortunately, he couldn’t manage to give it to her before the show because of her pre-performance routines.

On his New Heights podcast on July 26th, Travis expressed his letdown that she doesn’t interact much before or after her performances as she needs to preserve her voice for the forty-four songs she sings. Therefore, he felt a bit upset because he wasn’t able to give her one of the handmade bracelets he had prepared for her.

Following his on-stage blunder, which Travis himself labeled as “rock solid,” Travis bravely extended an invitation to the Grammy-winning artist, inviting him to witness the Chiefs’ game at Arrowhead Stadium.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation. Specifically, he said, “I suggested you perform here as well, since I’ve witnessed your impressive shows at Arrowhead. Let’s see if you can come and match my performance there to determine who shines brighter.” So, we’ll wait and find out what transpires in the upcoming days.

At the time when Travis was first met by Taylor, he already sported a mustache that he had grown since August during their training camp.

In his subsequent reflections, he commented that during that period, “The mustache and number 87 were quite iconic for a while, and I happened to have it when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source familiar with the matter, by early September, Travis and Taylor were exchanging occasional texts and conversations.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Following Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended the game with Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer for her son and the Kansas City Chiefs as they played against the Chicago Bears. After the match, photographs captured Taylor and Travis sharing affectionate moments at a nearby bar.

On October 14th, the couple unexpectedly showed up on an episode of Saturday Night Live, taking their romance to the small screen. This New York City adventure extended beyond their TV appearance, encompassing the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a romantic evening at the Waverly Inn as well.

During a free week in his football schedule, Travis made his way to Argentina to attend Taylor’s World Tour’s South American leg. Not only did the NFL player get closer to Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, at the concert in Buenos Aires on November 11th, but he also received a special recognition from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist from the Midnights concert could be spotted rushing toward Travis in the backstage area and enthusiastically embracing him with a heartfelt kiss.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She informed Time magazine, “I’ll be watching him pursue his passion, we’re there for each other, and other people are present. We couldn’t care less about keeping our relationship a secret,” she said. The polar opposite is putting in an excessive effort to ensure that your association with someone remains hidden.

 

On December 17th, the music megastar made Travis’ game a gathering for the family, inviting her father to support him.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their first New Year’s Eve together, exchanging a loving kiss as the clock chimed midnight on January 1st.

Taylor enjoyed spending more time with Travis’ relatives, particularly his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, as they all attended the Kansas City Chiefs match against the Buffalo Bills together.

I was the one who shared Travis’s footage on social media for the very first time, on February 12th. I jokingly pointed out that I had taken my parents clubbing with him, following the Super Bowl.

Taylor’s first Instagram post with Travis Scott was a selfie taken backstage during his Eras tour performance at Wembley Stadium in London, which included Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

At the seventh Eras tour concert in London’s Wembley Stadium, the NFL player made an appearance alongside his girlfriend, taking the stage to support her while she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.

Taylor attended the initial game of the 2024-25 regular season with Travis. In a picture posted by Chariah Gordon, they seem to be recreating a public display of affection reminiscent of October 2023. Chariah Gordon’s boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman, is also in the photo.

The duo were present at the marriage ceremony of Karen Elson, who got married to Lee Foster, the proprietor of Electric Lady Studios, which took place in New York City.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the final weekend of 2024, the couple ventured out on consecutive dates in New York City, their ensembles being a perfect match each time.
