Taylor Goldsmith Honors L.A. at Grammys After Fire Loss

Taylor Goldsmith is singing his praises to Los Angeles at the 2025 Grammys.

Following the tragic loss of their home to the destructive L.A. wildfires, Mandy Moore and her husband performed at the 2025 Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah, alongside their band Dawes (fronted by Taylor) and drummer Griffin Goldsmith. The group paid tribute to the city with a heartfelt rendition of Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.” Joining them on stage were Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, John Legend, Sheryl Crow, and St. Vincent.

To clarify, two siblings, raised within the urban environment, found themselves among those affected deeply by the destruction caused by the fire. They lost not only their residences but also their childhood home, studio, and a significant number of musical instruments belonging to their band. Recently, Mandy – Taylor’s partner who has children Gus Harrison (3 years old), Ozzie Bennett (2 years old), and Louise Everett (4 months) – expressed her sorrow over the aftermath of the Eaton Fire that ravaged quickly through their Altadena neighborhood, just a few weeks ago.

In a heartfelt Instagram message, the star from “This Is Us” expressed his affection for Altadena, “I adore you, Altadena.” He shared videos of buildings ablaze as a backdrop. Despite the danger, he was grateful that his family and pets escaped before it was too late. His heartfelt thanks also extended to friends who opened their doors, offered shelter, and provided clothes and blankets during this challenging time.

To be completely honest, I’m utterly stunned and can hardly feel anything because of the devastating losses that so many people, including members of my family, have experienced,” she went on to say. “Our children’s school and our favorite restaurants have been destroyed. It’s heartbreaking to see that so many friends and loved ones have lost everything as well.

Despite experiencing significant hardships themselves, Mandy and Taylor were determined to assist Griffin, whose newborn baby was born to his wife Kit Goldsmith only a few days after he lost his house. They did their utmost to help Griffin recover and regain stability.

Meanwhile, Mandy and her family found comfort and a temporary home with friends Hilary Duff and her spouse Matthew Koma during the difficult time they were experiencing following their tragic event.

Griffin enthusiastically expressed, “They’ve looked after all of my family since this started, and I can’t express enough gratitude. It’s an incredibly kind gesture that only a truly wonderful person could perform. We’ve never met anyone more beautiful and selfless.
