Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love is sweet like honey—and Pop-Tarts.

During Travis’ break from the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor has been especially close to him, including arranging a delightful dessert for each photo session during his time. (This is done to ensure Travis has something sweet for every photograph.)

In a fangirl’s heartfelt tribute, I’ve learned that the “Karma” crooner, in a sweet gesture, dispatched a batch of handmade pop-tarts to Travis for his latest American Eagle photoshoot, as showcased in a fan video that was once shared on Twitter.

On the box’s lid, I found a note written by hand saying ‘Enjoy your photo session!’ It listed the flavors inside as strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry. Sincerely, Taylor.

On multiple occasions, the Grammy award winner, who’s known not just for her musical prowess but also her baking skills, has prepared and given Travis homemade pop-tarts, a breakfast favorite. Interestingly, Taylor-made pop tarts have been a consistent part of the Kansas City Chiefs season.

According to coach Andy Reid, it was reported in February 2024, “The Midnights artist enjoys cooking, and she prepared some homemade pop tarts for the offensive linemen. The team was won over. She had them perfectly figured out.

Meanwhile, despite mentioning that his team had no more options left for him at the time, he managed to find something for himself. Exactly one month later, he praised Rich Eisen, saying about Taylor, “She’s not only an excellent singer and entertainer, but she’s also a fantastic cook.

Apart from Andy, many members of the Chiefs community were moved by Taylor’s thoughtful act. In November, defensive back coach Dave Merritt Sr. also posted a picture showing “victory pop tarts” that Taylor had baked for him. However, he humorously admitted that it was his wife, Yolanda Merritt, who revealed that the gesture wasn’t exclusive to Andy.

In a conversation on X, accompanied by numerous laughter emojis, Dave conveyed that Yolonda Merritt stated, “She’s accomplished it throughout the entire season for various individuals, Dave.” This left me feeling as though I wasn’t unique. Despite this misunderstanding, Yolanda is indeed a sweet young woman!

Since she started dating Travis, Taylor has become an integral part of the Kansas City family, not just among the players on the field but also off it. This extends to the team’s WAGS (wives and girlfriends), with Chariah Gordon, Mecole Hardman Jr.’s fiancée, openly praising her friendship with Taylor.

Chariah told Glamour in November that she refers to her as ‘my sister.’ She described her as a genuinely nice and humble person. It was almost as if Swift wasn’t a famous artist, but just another friend from home.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic journey commenced in July 2023, as her Eras Tour passed through Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end eagerly watched the concert in the hope of offering her a friendship bracelet engraved with his phone number. Unfortunately, his attempt to throw it was unsuccessful because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis explained on his New Heights podcast during its July 26th episode that he felt let down because she doesn’t engage in conversation before or after her performances, as she needs to conserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he was a tad upset since he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he had made for her.

Following his on-stage blunder, which Taylor himself referred to as “purely metal,” Travis bravely asked the Grammy winner out for a game, inviting him to witness the Chiefs compete at Arrowhead Stadium.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had given her an opportunity by saying, “I’ve tossed the challenge out there; you should come see me perform at Arrowhead, let’s see who shines brighter.” So, we’ll wait and see what transpires in the upcoming days.

At the time when Travis was initially presented to Taylor, he was sporting a mustache that he had grown since August during training camp.

Later on, he remarked about that period, “For a while, the mustache and the number 87 were quite iconic, and I happened to have them when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source familiar with the matter, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been exchanging occasional texts and conversations.

Following Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended the game between Donna Kelce (the athlete’s mom) and her son’s team, the Chiefs, at Arrowhead Stadium. After the match, Taylor and Travis were spotted sharing affectionate moments in a nearby bar.

On October 14th, the couple unexpectedly joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, making their relationship’s debut on that episode. Additionally, they attended the after-party for the NBC sketch show, as well as having a romantic evening at the Waverly Inn in New York City.

During a break in his NFL schedule, Travis made his way to Argentina to attend the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the football star get to know Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, at the concert in Buenos Aires on November 11th, but he also received a special recognition from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist from the Midnights concert was spotted rushing towards Travis in the backstage area and embracing him with an enthusiastic kiss.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine: “I’ll be there to watch him pursue his passion, and we support each other. There are others present too, but it doesn’t bother us.” Conversely, she mentioned, “In some situations, it takes a great deal of effort to keep your relationship hidden from others.

 

On December 17th, the music megastar made Travis’ game a gathering for the whole family, inviting her father to support her partner.
