Just last week, I found myself disheartened as three performances from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour were unfortunately scrapped due to an alleged potential threat.
“Due to a confirmed potential terroristic threat at the Ernst Happel Stadium, as announced by government authorities, we regretfully must cancel the three upcoming events for everyone’s security.”
Two individuals, aged 17 and 19, were taken into custody due to an alleged terrorist plan. Franz Ruf, Austria’s top public security official, confirmed that one of the suspects is a 19-year-old Austrian national, while another Austrian citizen, aged 17, is also being held in relation to this suspected terror scheme.
Fans found out about the concert cancellations several days prior to their planned attendance at Taylor Swift’s shows at Wembley Stadium, scheduled for August 15th.
