Look what you made Taylor Swift do.
Originally embroiled in a musical dispute with Scooter Braun, the artist famously known for her “Delicate” hits, has now regained full ownership of all her music. As such, we’re eager to know what alterations or improvements will be made to the revamped editions of albums like ‘Reputation’ and ‘Taylor Swift’.
In a letter posted on her website on May 30th, Taylor openly admitted, “As for Rep TV, I’ve only managed to re-record a fourth of it so far.” She continued, “The ‘Reputation’ album was deeply connected to that particular phase in my life. Every time I attempted to recreate it, I reached a creative barrier. The anger, the yearning for understanding amidst intentional misunderstanding, the hope, the shame-fueled wit and mischief – all of these emotions were tied so closely to their original context.
In fact, Taylor has openly acknowledged that although she has finished re-recording her first album, it doesn’t mean that her album “Reputation” will also undergo the same process of re-recording in the future.
In all honesty, I believed the initial six albums were already at their best and couldn’t be made better through remakes,” Taylor confessed. “It wasn’t about the music, artwork, or videos; it was the overall package. So, I procrastinated. However, if you’re interested, there might come a time when some previously unreleased tracks from that album will surface.
That said, she isn’t completely scrapping them if her fans express interest in hearing them.
She went on to say, “If something occurs, it won’t stem from feelings of sadness or yearning for what might have been. Instead, it’ll simply be a joyous occasion.
Taylor Swift’s initial release of the album “Reputation,” dated November 2017, came in response to media criticism she faced. The album consisted of 15 tracks, among which were songs related to her previous relationship with Joe Alwyn (“Gorgeous” and “King of My Heart”), as well as addressing her conflict with Kanye West in the song “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.
It was Taylor’s disagreement with Kanye, along with Kim Kardashian at that time, which reached its peak when Taylor shared parts of their conversation about his song “Famous” on social media, that eventually caused the artist behind “Bad Blood” to retreat from the limelight.
According to Taylor, she was confronted with a fabricated phone conversation that had been secretly recorded and manipulated by someone. This manipulated recording was later released by Kim Kardashian, claiming it proved that Taylor was lying about knowing the derogatory term used against her in one of Kanye West’s songs. This incident, as she shared with Time magazine last December, took a profound psychological toll on her, leading her to experience feelings unlike any she had faced before.
She explained further, “I relocated to another country, and for an entire year, I didn’t vacate the rental house I had. I was apprehensive about making phone calls. I distanced myself from many individuals in my life as I no longer felt secure trusting anyone. My spirits plummeted significantly.

And how does she feel about the Reputation era today?
In Taylor’s words to Time magazine, this scene represents a fierce outburst of female anger in response to being manipulated by an entire societal system. It seems that many people recognize it and react with something along the lines of “Disgusting deceivers under pulsating lights.
Though she did confirm the updated version’s vault tracks—if fans care to hear them—will be “fire.”

One method I use to reduce this bothersome self-doubt is turning off comments. Yes, I deactivate comments on my posts. This way, I can share updates about my life with my friends and followers, but I’m teaching my mind not to depend on validation from others telling me that I look fantastic.
