Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Skip Met Gala 2025: The Real Reason

Following the announcement by honorary co-chair LeBron James that he won’t be able to attend the May 5 Met Gala, TopMob News reports that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will also miss out on the glamorous event at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The 2025 Met Gala, which was hosted by Anna Wintour from Vogue alongside co-chairs A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams, would have provided a unique occasion for Travis and Taylor to be seen together. In the past few months, they have been spending time away from the limelight following the Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 Super Bowl.

As Travis Scotts’ weekly appearances on his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast persist, it appears that Taylor Swift has remained absent from the public limelight following her groundbreaking Eras Tour conclusion. To be precise, no recent images of Taylor have surfaced since she was spotted dining out in NYC with Travis back in March.

In the months ahead, Travis will be training for his 13th season with the Chiefs.

The player, at 35 years old, expressed in a text to ESPN host Pat McAfee that he intends to improve his physical condition to its peak during this offseason and strive to return to his best form, referring to it as reaching the “mountaintop” on the Feb. 27 episode of the Pat McAfee Show.
