Taylor Swift's BFF Abigail Anderson Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby

As an ardent fan of the dynamic duo, Taylor Swift and Abigail Anderson, I can’t help but feel a profound sense of joy and admiration for their extraordinary friendship that has withstood the test of time. Their story is one that transcends the typical narrative of teenage crushes and high school dramas; instead, it unfolds into a tale of unwavering camaraderie and mutual growth.

A brand new little hand is wrapped around Abigail Anderson’s finger.

As a long-time fan of Taylor Swift, I have always admired her close friendships and the support she provides to those around her. This summer, when I heard that Taylor’s best friend announced her pregnancy, I was thrilled for her and couldn’t wait to see how she would navigate this exciting new chapter in her life. Now, after witnessing the joyous news of the birth of her first baby boy, Bennett, with husband Charles Berard, I am even more impressed by her strength and grace throughout the process. As someone who has experienced the ups and downs of pregnancy myself, I know how special it is to have a supportive friend like Taylor during such a transformative time. Congratulations to the happy family on this beautiful addition to their lives!

“Abigail announced on her August 16th Instagram post that her baby boy arrived earlier than planned. A heartwarming snapshot showed his tiny hand clutching hers. Our hearts are bursting with affection for him. Bennett, you’ve entered the world and it belongs completely to you.”

The exciting announcement came just weeks after Abigail—who married Charles in 2022—announced her pregnancy, with a subtle nod to the Eras Tour singer.

As I proudly display my growing baby bump, nibbling on a delightful handful of cheese crackers, the lyrics of Taylor’s “But Daddy I Love Him” echo in my heart. “I’m carrying his little one,” I can’t help but sing along, filled with joy and anticipation for this new chapter in my life.

Of course, Taylor – who’s been in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for a year now – didn’t hesitate to express her affection towards her long-standing friend in the comments section.

“When the internet says ‘MOTHER,’ Taylor wrote. “I feel like this pic is actually what they mean.”

Besides Taylor’s close associates, namely Keleigh Teller and Blake Lively, extended their congratulations to Abigail too, with messages that read, “Congratulations!”

Clearly, Abigail, who significantly influenced Taylor’s song “Fifteen,” and Taylor have discovered something more profound than dating the school football player; yet, their friendship has remained strong through it all.

During the Nashville stop of the Eras Tour in May, Taylor made clear the growth of her closest friends by performing the “Fearless” song and dedicating it to her “wonderful, red-haired high school best friend,” who was present in the audience.

In the tune, Taylor inserted words to underscore the point that though they’ve matured, there’s nothing they feel remorseful about in their past.

In the past, I firmly believed I would one day marry him, but as time went on, I discovered larger aspirations of my own. Abigail devoted everything to a boy who ultimately changed his mind, and we both shed tears over it. However, Taylor poignantly sings, “But that’s okay.”
