Taylor Swift’s Reputation Teaser Shocks Fans in The Handmaid’s Tale!

The old Taylor Swift really can’t come to the phone right now.

For instance, during the most recent episode of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” a re-recording of the lead single “Look What You Made Me Do” from Taylor Swift’s album Reputation was played, indicating that a new version of her sixth studio album is soon to be released.

In the latest episode of the Hulu series, premiered on May 19th, a segment shows a group of women, under the guidance of Elisabeth Moss’ character June Osbourne, narrowly escaping truck bombs while orchestrating their rebellion. The show’s lead and executive producer expressed it as an “honor” to incorporate one of Taylor Swift’s unreleased songs during such a critical juncture in the series.

For quite some time, I’ve had the desire to incorporate a Taylor Swift song into our show, and we’ve finally discovered an ideal place for one of her tracks, as I shared with Billboard on May 20. I couldn’t be happier that we waited because there simply isn’t a more fitting song for a more opportune moment.

In Taylor Swift’s re-recorded version of “Look What You Made Me Do,” she faithfully reproduces the initial synthesizers and sample from “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. However, it also features her revised vocals, which lend a stronger focus to the word “do” in “look what you made me do.” Additionally, there are subtle adjustments to the overall tone of the track.

Additionally, Swift’s followers are excited about the new Easter egg from the “Karma” singer, but she has given hints about Reputation (Taylor’s Version) for several years now. For instance, she shared a sneak peek of this track in a teaser for Prime’s Wilderness, and also lent “Delicate (Taylor’s Version)” for the second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty in 2023.

In a silent response, Swift didn’t discuss lending an unreleased track for the 2023 episode of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” but the author and showrunner of the series, Jenny Han, has previously expressed enthusiasm about Swift granting permission to use her songs for the romantic show.

Han expressed during an episode of the “Open Book” podcast in January, “She truly seemed to be someone who supports women, and I felt supported by her too. I’m incredibly grateful that she allowed us to use her music on our show, and I believe she understands that her fans would appreciate it as well.

When it comes to appreciating Taylor Swift’s musical style, there’s no doubt that everyone enjoys her clever tricks. Keep scrolling to discover more fascinating details about this popular artist…

She called and said ‘I want you to know that I love what you do,'” he added. Jokingly, he told her, “This is your crowd; they’re going to love you. To minimize this unsettling feeling of inadequacy, I opt to disable comments on my posts. This way, I share updates about my life with my friends and followers, but I also help my brain learn not to rely on external validation from people telling me I look fantastic.

9. Initially, she planned to call her seventh studio album “Daylight,” but since it was the successor to “reputation,” the singer felt “Daylight” might be too obvious a choice. Upon composing the song titled “Lover,” she decided that title would better suit the album.

18. I’ve been best friends with Selena Gomez since our stints with the Jonas Brothers. In case you missed it, Selena supported her bestie when she returned to Saturday Night Live in November 2021 to perform a 10-minute version of “All Too Well.” Way back in 2008, I spent time with Joe Jonas, while Selena dated his younger brother Nick. We quickly bonded and have remained close ever since. I even offered to be the flower girl at Selena’s wedding to fiancé Benny Blanco.

19. You might recall Abigail, the “redhead” mentioned by Taylor in her song “Fifteen,” a heartfelt piece about growing up? As she put it to Time magazine, “When a relationship is public, that means I get to witness him doing what he loves, we support each other in front of others, and we don’t care who sees us.” Conversely, keeping a relationship private requires going to great lengths to ensure no one knows about it.
