Taylor Swift's Secret Role in Selena Gomez's New Album Unveiled!

Taylor Swift is a lover of best friend Selena Gomez’s music.

However, just because Taylor Swift is known as “Blank Space” singer doesn’t imply she’s stingy with advice when it comes to her friend’s music. As Selena shared, this was true even during the production of her latest album, I Said I Love You First, which she made with her fiancé Benny Blanco.

During an interview on iHeartRadio on March 27th, Selena expressed that she highly respects Taylor’s opinion due to her honesty. She shared that when it comes to her albums, Taylor is one of the first people she plays them for, often ranking among the top two. Selena enjoys seeking Taylor’s feedback and in turn, Taylor does the same.

Selena clarified, “I wouldn’t say something harsh like ‘That’s a terrible song,’ about her because she’s incredibly talented. However, she might comment, ‘That one’s alright. But I believe that one is good.’

The “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” actor expressed that it’s extremely beneficial and put it simply, “I appreciate it.” Additionally, he mentioned his fondness for individuals who are truthful.

After all, it was Taylor’s feedback that made Selena fall in love with one of her past hits.

She added, “There were some emotional moments,” she explained. “When I previewed ‘Lose You to Love Me’ for her before its release, both she and her wonderful mother began tearing up. In turn, I couldn’t help but shed a few tears too. It was truly heartwarming.

Since 2008, Selena and Taylor have been open about supporting each other’s successes. In September, Selena reassured fans about their friendship during rumors of disagreement by stating, “Taylor is more like an older sister to me,” in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Regarding Selena and Benny, they are quite open to showing their affection and joining in Taylor’s celebrations, given that she’s been in a relationship with Travis Kelce since 2023 – and they don’t mind arriving a tad early for the occasion.

Selena mentioned during the March 19 episode of Spotify’s Countdown To series that she and her partner attended Taylor’s party following a certain awards event. She playfully admitted that their punctual arrival initially embarrassed her, but added that it was sort of endearing. It seemed that being fashionably late is not a trait associated with the cool crowd, according to Selena.

It’s never an issue for Benny to arrive early at a party; he even pointed out that “we’re always the first ones there whenever I attend with you.
