Team AEW Wins Blood & Guts After Jack Perry Almost Set on Fire

As a die-hard AEW fan, I was absolutely thrilled by tonight’s Blood & Guts match on Dynamite. The level of intensity and brutality that Team Elite and Team AEW brought to the table was truly unmatched. The two-ring spanning cage provided the perfect setting for an all-out war, with chairs, tables, tacks, barbed wire boards, handcuffs, and even staple guns making their way into the match.

The title of tonight’s AEW Dynamite event hinted at an evening filled with intensity and violence, and it didn’t disappoint. In a cage spanning two rings, Team Elite clashed against Team AEW in a brutal and gory showdown. Fans weren’t left wanting as chairs, tables, tacks, barbed wire boards, handcuffs, and even staple guns were used throughout the match, leading to shocking moments, particularly those involving Swerve Strickland. Both teams were determined to go the extra mile to secure victory, but it was Darby Allin who ultimately emerged the winner. He handcuffed Jack Perry to the cage and threatened to set him on fire with gasoline, forcing the EVPs to surrender and granting Allin a TNT Championship match at All In. Consequently, Team AEW claimed victory in this hard-hitting encounter.

Team Elite In Control

Jack Perry and Darby Allen initiated the fight, but Allin didn’t have a chance to enter the ring before being assaulted. In the ring, things went poorly for Allin as Perry choked him with a rope and struck him on the head with a trash can, subsequently hurling him into the corner trash can. Next up was Nick Jackson, benefiting The Elite with an extra teammate. The mistreatment continued when Jackson entered the fray, resulting in Allin being shoved into the cage and receiving a superkick before landing between the ring and the cage.

As I watched from the sidelines, Marc Briscoe was up next, followed by Matthew Jackson and then Anthony Bowens. Next, Kazuchika Okada entered the ring, bearing a Rainmaker sign. He brutalized Briscoe, who was already bleeding, with a vicious pile driver. A sneaky low blow ensued, and Okada followed it up with a dropkick into a chair, sending Briscoe crashing to the mat. Just when The Elite seemed poised to secure their victory, reinforcements arrived in the nick of time. Max Caster stormed the ring, armed with microphones, chains, and anything else he could lay his hands on.

Being a long-time wrestling fan, I’ve seen my fair share of intense matches where the stakes are high and the action is fierce. In one particular bout, Caster, a formidable opponent, managed to grab hold of a barbed wire board with malicious intent towards Okada. However, Team Elite swiftly intervened, saving their teammate from a grueling encounter with the vicious wire.

A Swerve Ambush

After that, Bowen secured his leg with barbed wire and dealt a low blow to Jackson. Just as things were getting heated up, Swerve Strickland made his entrance, determined to join the fray. However, before he could even get close, Page burst out of the arena with a chair in hand and assaulted the Champion. With brutal force, Page subdued Strickland, attaching handcuffs to both sides of the cage, keeping him out of the ring. Next, Page tackled Prince Nana down and used the Championship belt to strike Strickland repeatedly.

As a seasoned professional wrestling commentator with years of experience in the industry, I’ve seen my fair share of heated moments and intense matches. The scene unfolding before us at that AEW event was nothing short of exhilarating.

Strickland and Page engaged in a fistfight before The Elite unveiled their secret weapon: staple guns. Each Elite member brandished one, and they all targeted Champ with staples. However, Champ just laughed and grabbed his own staple gun. EVPs (Strickland and Page) received staples to the face and head, and Perry joined in the melee. Okada managed to disarm Swerve’s staple gun but then regretfully used it on Okada’s finger. Eventually, Swerve retaliated by stapling Page’s jaw, leaving all Elite members lying helplessly on the mat.

After the break, Bowens was unexpectedly thrown out of the ring over a table at the edge by Briscoe. Briscoe then chased off The Elite and positioned Jackson on another table, shattering it with a powerful throw. Following this, Perry was restrained with handcuffs and assaulted with a kendo stick by Briscoe. Jackson was subsequently secured to the bottom rope. Allin entered the ring carrying a can of gasoline, heading straight for Perry. Threatening to set him on fire unless he surrendered, Allin demanded that Perry put his TNT Title on the line. Disgusted by this, Perry spat at Allin. In desperation, Jackson begged Allin for a chance to challenge him for the title at All In event. Faced with the prospect of being set alight, Perry reluctantly agreed to quit.
