Teddi Mellencamp’s Bold Move: Horseback Riding After Brain Surgery

Teddi Mellencamp is finding respite where she can.

Previously starred on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, she justified her choice to resume horseback riding following the detection of five additional tumors in her brain and lungs, as part of her ongoing fight against cancer.

On her Instagram Stories, Teddi expressed gratitude for everyone’s support on March 8th. She shared that she’s feeling fantastic and has received the green light from her doctors to go riding again today. This news brings joy to both her heart and soul.

One of the hosts from “The Two T’s in A Pod”, who had an emergency brain surgery to remove tumors in February, urged her audience not to advise against her horse-riding during her health struggle.

Teddi politely requested, “If we cross paths at today’s event and you feel inclined to advise me against something, I kindly ask that you hold back.” She shared, “For six months, I was unaware that I had large brain tumors, but they’ve been successfully removed now.

The woman aged 43, who has children named Slate (age 12), Cruz (age 10), and Dove (age 5) with her ex-partner Edwin Arroyave, mentioned that this particular activity offers her a valuable opportunity for distraction and relaxation.

In Teddi’s own words, she emphasized the significance of mental well-being during tough times like illness or cancer. She stressed the importance of perseverance, finding joy and setting goals for herself. She expressed her intention to continue fighting towards her best self, seeking ways to maintain a positive outlook and savor life’s pleasures. Lastly, she gratefully acknowledged her companions on this journey and made it clear that she doesn’t welcome negativity or demotivation.

The founder of ALL In with Teddi also expressed a message to her father, John Mellencamp, affectionately known as the “Jack & Diane” singer. She wrote, “Dad, thank you for agreeing and having faith in me. I was overcome with joy knowing I have your support.

In the next slide, Teddi wrote a touching note for her cherished steed, Toad, while a video of them riding together was playing.

She expressed, “My little son would go to any length for me, and I’d do the same for him. He’s like an extraordinary horse. Thank you, Toad, for giving me life’s vibrancy.

Even though she faced a challenging hurdle, Teddi expressed optimism, stating that her doctors are positive that immunotherapy can successfully eliminate the tumors, maintaining hope for her recovery.
