Teddi Mellencamp is on the mend.

Following the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s emergency brain surgery due to her known tumors, her sister, Justice Mellencamp, posted a heartfelt message highlighting her sister’s strength and determination in the face of this health crisis.

It’s truly awful to see a loved one go through pain,” wrote Justice, John Mellencamp’s younger child with Victoria Granucci, on Instagram Stories (as reported by Page Six). “I’ve been trying to respond to everyone who reached out. Teddi will share her story when she feels ready. She is undoubtedly the strongest person I know. Many emotions as I travel home today.

She added, “Indeed, her village stands out as the most remarkable I’ve encountered, and I am deeply appreciative of their kindness. Your prayers mean the world to me. A heartfelt thank you.

A week after Teddi initially shared her situation on her social media, the 40-year-old provided an update about her sister.

Teddi shared on Instagram on February 12th that she’s had intense, disabling headaches for several weeks now. The pain became excruciating the day before, forcing her to seek immediate medical attention in the hospital. After undergoing a CT scan and MRI, doctors discovered numerous tumors in her brain, which they estimate have been growing for at least six months.

The 43-year-old woman (mother of Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4) shared that she was required to have an emergency surgery on larger tumors that day. Smaller tumors would be addressed with radiation treatments at a later point in time.

Teddi expressed gratitude for the loving presence of her children, family, friends, medical team including doctors, nurses, and surgeons, all working tirelessly to help her regain good health. In a recent post, she also thanked everyone who reached out or offered support during her stage 2 melanoma battle.
