Teddi Mellencamp’s Heartbreaking Cancer Update: ‘I’m Allowed to Be Sad’

Teddi Mellencamp is getting real about her mental health.

In a heartfelt message, the former star of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” who is a mother to Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (5) with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, openly discussed the emotional strain that her cancer journey has brought upon her.

4 months can truly transform things, as Teddi expressed in an April 9 Instagram post featuring two photos – one with long blonde hair before treatment, another close-up of her shaved head now. At times, she emphasized, we may become so engrossed in ‘staying strong’ that we forget it’s okay to experience sadness, shed tears, and acknowledge feelings of loneliness.

She expressed her deep affection and gratitude towards her children, friends, and family, but today just seemed tough. If anyone else is feeling the same way, eagerly waiting for the day to end so they can restart tomorrow, she sends a virtual hug [heart emoji]. We’re all in this together.

43-year-old finished off her post by requesting suggestions for TV shows and movies from her audience, using the hashtag #overyoucancer as a reminder of her ongoing battle with cancer.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the latest from Teddi. Following the devastating news of her cancer advancing to stage 4, with doctors discovering an additional four tumors, she’s taken to express her gratitude for the unwavering support from her fans during this heart-wrenching journey.

The Two T’s in A Pod cohost expressed their gratitude in a video posted on April 2nd, saying, “I received countless supportive messages this morning. Thank you all so very much. It means a lot to me that so many people see me as strong.

Teddi went on to say, “Some days I feel incredibly powerful, while other days I feel intensely sad and lonely. It’s a part of the journey we all go through, and it’s alright. The fight against stage 4 cancer can be daunting.

In essence, Teddi, the founder of All In With Teddi, is waiting for a clearer diagnosis from her doctors. For now, she intends to cherish every moment with her kids and dear ones, living each day to its fullest.

Teddi shared with Us Weekly in an interview on April 2 that she will definitely know our current situation by June 1. If additional tests or surgeries are required, or if this is the conclusion, it’s tough to accept.

She mentioned her desire for novel experiences, greater travel with her children, continuously creating and living our lives to the fullest, and having enjoyable times together. In essence, her aim is to achieve this.
