As I delve into the remarkable journey of Kailyn Lowry, a modern-day matriarch who has defied the odds and embraced motherhood with an unparalleled grace, I am truly in awe. From her humble beginnings growing up in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley to the birth of her fifth son, Rio, and the arrival of her twin daughters, Verse and Valley, Kailyn’s life story is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering love for her family.
Mom life is keeping Kailyn Lowry fulfilled.
Absolutely, when seven children are on the move, there’s never a dull moment at the residence of this former “Teen Mom” star. It’s during these bustling times that their strong bond truly comes to light.
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News at the 11th Annual Reality TV Awards on Nov. 19, I shared a heartfelt sentiment: My children adore each other to no end. To be honest, I couldn’t have wished for better kids; they truly are a blessing.
32-year-old individual has twins named Verse and Valley, along with Rio (12 months), and Elijah Scott; also shares Isaac (14) with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln (10) with former spouse Javi Marroquin, Lux (7), and Creed (4) with previous partner Chris Lopez.
Recently, Kailyn’s youngest pair celebrated their very first birthdays, marking a significant achievement in their young lives.
The Coffee Convos podcast host expressed, “They’ve just begun learning to walk, and that’s truly thrilling.
She finds herself marveling at the growth of her family, and to put it plainly, she admits that having seven children is more than she ever thought possible.
As the holidays draw near, Kail might enjoy some downtime since her family prefers an unusual approach to celebrating special occasions during the holiday season.
She shared with TopMob that she doesn’t typically take vacations. Instead, her children spend the holiday season with their fathers who are part of larger families. They enjoy being with their siblings, and she’s content to let them go and be a part of those gatherings.
Despite excelling at managing life with seven children, she currently has no plans to expand her family further, as she felt both joyful and wistful when she had her tubes tied after the birth of Verse and Valley.
In a moment of certainty, I declared, “I’ve had enough.” Just yesterday, my dear friend and I were chuckling over wrestling matches, both convinced we’d hung up our fangirling hats for good. Yet, if you’d asked me merely two days ago, Elijah and I might have been sketching out plans for IVF or some similar adventure—truth be told, the future was still uncharted territory. This was shared with TopMob News in September.
What appears to be the primary factor preventing her from having additional kids is the scarcity of personal time she could dedicate to them.
She commented that she feels she does an excellent job currently in dividing her time among her children. However, if she were to take on more responsibilities, she isn’t sure she could provide each child with the individual attention they deserve.

At the tender age of seventeen, Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac Elliot Rivera, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera, on January 18, 2010.
Despite parting ways a year later, the former couple have found a harmonious joint-parenting routine. Remarkably, Kailyn now co-hosts her “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast with Jo’s spouse, Vee Rivera. In her words on social media after attending their 2018 wedding, she expressed, “We’ve journeyed a long way since we were 18. I couldn’t wish for a better stepmother for Isaac.
Speaking about her eldest son, she penned on Instagram for his 13th birthday: “We’ve essentially grown up side by side, yet in certain aspects, he seems more mature than I do.” Highlighting his qualities as considerate, intelligent, humorous, and occasionally mischievous, the Delaware State alumna commended his compassionate nature.
In her words, “It’s his ability to defy societal expectations that truly inspires me about him.” She finds him intriguing and open-minded, capable of shaping unique perspectives and judgments. Moreover, Isaac embraces individuals for their authentic selves rather than how they are stereotyped to be. She believes more people would benefit from emulating such qualities.
Back in November 2013, I simply couldn’t contain my excitement when Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, the newcomer, joined the squad! It was about a year since the shining star of Teen Mom 2 tied the knot with none other than his dad, Javi Marroquin.
According to Kailyn in her 2022 podcast episode of Barely Famous, the tween is quite passionate about sports. He tends to divide his time between basketball and football matches. To celebrate his 10th birthday, he hosted an NBA-themed party, showcasing his admiration for his idol, Allen Iverson.
It’s not surprising at all that when it was time to choose a name for his youngest brother, Iverson (a name suggested by Lincoln) was on the list due to his strong affinity for basketball. Kailyn shared this information in her TikTok video from February 2024.
In her 2022 birthday tribute, it was expressed that “Lincoln” is someone worth knowing because of his lovable nature. He is described as diligent, intelligent, good-looking, and simply the best sibling one could hope for.
Lux Russell Lowry has a fondness for football, wrestling, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and the music of Michael Jackson—a mix of some of his cherished pastimes.
Kailyn had her first child, Lux, with Chris Lopez on August 5, 2017. Despite their relationship having its ups and downs over the years, they currently don’t communicate at all, as she shared in an interview with TopMob News in 2020. She’s hoping for improvement with time, but isn’t holding onto any specific hopes or expectations. She prefers to remain positive and wishes for their children’s sake that everything finds a resolution, regardless of the direction it takes.
No matter which direction Lux moves, he’s making rapid progress, just as Kailyn put it when celebrating his 6th birthday with a WWE-themed party. She wrote: “Lux has been here like a whirlwind and kept us guessing every day since,” adding, “I adore this little lion cub so dearly!
As the much-anticipated July 30, 2020 arrival of Creed Romello Lowry-Lopez approached, I found myself wrestling with a massive decision. “I kept my pregnancy hidden for so long because I wasn’t sure what I was going to do—whether I would keep the baby or not,” I confessed to TopMob News shortly after his birth. “That choice was incredibly heavy on me and I truly struggled during that period.
Despite the turbulent nature of her relationship with Chris, Creed’s father, a single look at the ultrasound image confirmed her choice. Similar to his older siblings who expressed warmth and affection towards the baby, the podcaster fell in love with him right away as she shared, “All three of them have asked to hold the baby and they’re incredibly loving towards him,” Kailyn told TopMob.
She wrote on his third birthday, during their shared WWE celebration with Lux: “CREED, Romello, Mello, Romey, Rome, Biggie, Bigs.” These are different names she has for him, but no words can truly express my love for this sparkler, so I’ll save the sentimentality for when we meet in person!
Kailyn made it clear to People magazine that she desired the freedom to share about her newborn son, Rio, on her own timeline, preferring to keep the news private for a while following his birth in November 2022.
Despite the fact that he had some challenging beginnings – needing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to breathing problems and excess fluid in his lungs – he has proven to be an absolute delight as a baby.
First-time dad Elijah Scott deserves some props as well. “It’s been very different from my other partners and my kids’ other dads,” she said of her boyfriend. “He pours concrete, he gets down and dirty at work. But he’s also just a real family man. He’s very, very much connected with his own family, with our family, and so he’s been a really good partner to me, and I feel like it’s a really good match.”
It seems her initial months with Rio made her want to continue the celebration, as caring for her fourth child proved challenging compared to the others, but her fifth child has been a delightful surprise. “To be honest, managing four was tougher than five, but my fourth one is quite lively,” Kaily shared. “My fifth baby, though, is wonderful. He’s almost perfect – if all my babies were like this, I might consider having ten more.
Cut to…
Kailyn officially stepped into motherhood for the second and third times, welcoming Verse and Valley to the world in October 2023, her latest additions with partner Elijah.
Kailyn’s namesake valley, being the place where she spent her childhood in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, experienced a prolonged stay at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) due to certain feeding problems compared to her brother.
Kailyn shared in an episode of Barely Famous aired in January 2024 that she had never encountered a baby who didn’t wake up for meals or show signs of hunger. This particular infant would simply sleep through feedings. She lacked any feeding cues, and whenever attempts were made to feed her, she wouldn’t take the bottle.
Despite Kailyn still being concerned about the twins’ relationship following their prolonged separation (as she works on strengthening their bond to return it to its original state), she’s ecstatic that her family has now been fully reunited.
She remarked, “I am filled with gratitude, appreciation, contentment, joy, and a sense of wholeness.” This realization has led us to expand our home. We feel incredibly fortunate. They are wonderful infants.
