As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for the Turtles since my childhood, I must say that the latest development with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has me tingling with excitement! The Radical Reptiles DLC and now the Ultimate Edition physical release are like a dream come true.
Just last month, the game “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge” received the “Radical Reptiles” DLC, introducing two additional playable characters to the mix. Now, a new physical release of this game, called the Ultimate Edition, has been announced for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch. This special edition includes the original game, previously released Dimension Shellshock DLC, as well as the Radical Reptiles expansion. The Ultimate Edition is being managed by Limited Run Games, with a standard version priced at $34.99. Moreover, an exclusive collector’s edition of the Ultimate Edition will be available, featuring items such as a three-disc CD soundtrack, a series of lithographs, and four unique action figures.

Preorders for the product will end on November 3rd. Those who are keen on the collector’s edition should move swiftly because only 5,000 units per platform will be produced. Despite some fans expressing disappointment over multiple physical releases and collector’s editions of Shredder’s Revenge, this isn’t a bad deal! The set includes four figures that seem to be modeled after the original Playmates designs, with colors inspired by the game. Since these items won’t be available anywhere else, it seems like a no-brainer for TMNT enthusiasts!
Beyond the regular and special edition releases, Limited Run Games is now accepting pre-orders for some exclusive vinyl soundtracks. For around $28, enthusiasts can purchase a vinyl record featuring the Radical Remixes that accompanied the Radical Reptiles DLC expansion. If you’re willing to spend approximately $100, there’s also a Vinyl Box Set available. This set includes vinyl records of the Radical Remixes, the original game soundtrack, and the music for Dimension Shellshock as well.
It’s unclear at this point if “Radical Reptiles” will be the final content for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge,” or if additional content may be on the horizon. Fans are eagerly anticipating a sequel, but it appears that the developers are keeping a close eye on the game’s and its DLC’s performance before making any decisions.
