Last year, Bandai Namco unveiled Tekken 8, and it appeared the gaming community was satisfied with what they received. However, like any game, there were aspects that could benefit from tweaks. Nevertheless, it offered a robust experience from the start. But everything shifted when Season 2 rolled out a few weeks ago, introducing modifications that sparked an onslaught of criticism from the Tekken’s fighting community. The discontent towards these changes even affected its recent Steam user ratings, which are now overwhelmingly negative with over 5,000 reviews.
Based on community feedback, Bandai Namco has announced that it will release an emergency update today, marking the start of their efforts to enhance player satisfaction. Known as “v2.00.02,” this update’s details for addressing issues in Season 2 can be found in the live patch notes, keeping players informed about today’s Tekken 8 update. Furthermore, a subsequent update is scheduled for mid-May to tackle more of the concerns arising from recent contentious changes.
