Terrifier 3 World Premiere Confirmed for Fantastic Fest

As a die-hard horror enthusiast with over two decades of chilling experiences under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Terrifier 3’s world premiere at Fantastic Fest is music to my ears – or rather, my nightmares! Having lived through countless sleepless nights thanks to the first two installments, I can hardly contain my excitement for another dose of Art the Clown’s terrifying antics.

Instead of hitting theaters in October as previously believed, the highly popular horror franchise on the internet, Terrifier 3, will make its world premiere earlier than expected. In an unexpected twist, it has been announced that the film by Damien Leone will be unveiled during Fantastic Fest’s opening night, nearly a month ahead of its initial release date.

As a dedicated cinephile who has been attending Fantastic Fest for the past five years, I eagerly anticipate the event each September. This year, the festival kicks off on the 19th and continues through the following week in the Austin area. I’m particularly excited about the lineup of world premieres – a whopping 28 films! That’s more than double the number from previous years. I can hardly wait to see what new and exciting cinematic experiences await me at Fantastic Fest 2023. For those who are curious, the entire list of films can be found here.

Originally, it was planned for Terrifier 3 to premiere just prior to Halloween, but due to competition from other films, it was moved slightly earlier in October, providing a bit more space for itself in the cinematic landscape.

What is Terrifier 3 about?

An extended synopsis for the film can be found below.

In the sequel to “Terrifier,” we delve deeper into the chilling storyline of the sinister character, Art the Clown, played by David Howard Thornton. This time, he’s back with an intensified fury. The newcomer, Lauren LaVera, stole the show and was warmly accepted as the latest survivor-heroine. Previous cast member Samantha Scaffidi reappeared in her role as Victoria Heyes, and horror legend Felissa Rose (“Sleepaway Camp”) and professional wrestler Chris Jericho (AEW) made remarkable appearances that left viewers buzzing with excitement.

A year after the previous installment, “Terrifier 2” picks up where it left off, following the horrifying saga of Art the Clown and his unquenchable lust for killing. After being brought back to life by a malevolent entity, Art returns to haunt the residents of Miles County once more. This Halloween season, Art focuses his murderous intent on a teenage girl and her younger brother, played by LaVera Fullam and Elliott Fullam. The film offers a bone-chilling and relentless account of terror.

The third installment of “Terrifier” is set to premiere exclusively in cinemas on October 11. You can catch up on the first two movies from this series on Peacock right now.
