Terrifier 3’s Trailer Shows Off the Christmas Carnage

“As a long-time horror aficionado and avid gamer, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the latest announcement of Terrifier 3. The trailer alone sent chills down my spine, and the prospect of Art the Clown donning a Santa suit is an unsettling yet intriguing twist that only adds to the franchise’s allure.

The trailer for “Terrifier 3” by Cineverse is out now, featuring Art the Clown donning a Santa suit and holiday decorations in this upcoming horror installment. This unsettling Christmas theme fits perfectly as the film is set to hit theaters right before Halloween, when retailers begin displaying festive items alongside spooky decorations. In other news, “Terrifier 2” from the franchise has gained attention with Bloody Disgusting partnering with Witter Entertainment for nationwide distribution in Walmart stores. Priced around $30, these VHS sets are highly sought after, fetching up to double the price on eBay.

According to the summary, in “Terrifier 3” by Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting, directed by Damien Leone again, Art the Clown (portrayed by David Howard Thornton) is prepared to cause more turmoil for the unaware residents of Miles County as they relax and go to sleep on Christmas Eve.

In a past interview, filmmaker Damien Leone expressed his belief that the exceptional achievement of “Terrifier 2” was not solely due to the allure of fresh and exciting horror characters like Art the Clown. Instead, he attributed it to the unprecedented theatrical release and promotional efforts, as well as its undying determination. In an industry where innovation is rare, Leone intends to keep challenging conventions in “Terrifier 3,” and he’s eager for viewers to experience what lies ahead for Art the Clown.

Terrifier 3 was initially planned to hit theaters on October 25, 2024, just before Halloween; however, its release date has been advanced to October 11 instead. This shift provides a less crowded schedule for an indie-level horror film like Terrifier 3, allowing it to stand out before facing competition from bigger-budget productions. Paramount’s Smile 2 is scheduled for October 18, and if it experiences a successful opening weekend, its subsequent week could potentially overshadow the second week of Terrifier 3.

Initially produced as a low-budget indie film costing approximately $50,000 for its production, Terrifier surprised everyone by grossing $416,322 in box office revenues following a limited release in 2018. In contrast, the sequel, titled Terrfier 2, hit theaters in 2022 and amassed over $15 million in ticket sales, with a significantly larger budget. This budget likely consisted of around $250,000 raised through crowdfunding and additional funding from the studio.

Terrifier 3 will be arriving exclusively in theaters on October 11.
