Damien Leone, creator and writer of the ‘Terrifier’ series, marked his 43rd birthday by sharing exciting news with his followers on Instagram (and X) – he announced ‘Terrifier 4’! The cover page of the script, shared in the post, was adorned with a touch of blood, fitting perfectly with the gruesome slasher style of the franchise. In the caption, Leone expressed gratitude for all the birthday wishes and returned the favor by giving his fans this thrilling update.

The draft for “Terrifier 4” is being developed, and it’s looking set to be an incredibly intense, terrifying, exhilarating, emotional, and fulfilling end to the Terrifier series. I’ve never been more eager to witness one of my own scripts come alive on screen than with this one. He also mentioned that he will disclose Art’s backstory in this installment.

Many comments under Damien Leone’s Instagram post expressed sadness about the series coming to an end. However, most responses were brimming with anticipation for the reappearance of Art the Clown. Notably, Spirit Halloween also joined in, expressing equal enthusiasm for this return as they are for Halloween itself.

While not everyone shared their enthusiasm for the appropriate motives, some spectators, influenced by politics, were pushing for certain elements to be included in the final film. In contrast, Leone remained resolute and swiftly dismissed these suggestions.

In his statement on X, he clarified that “Terrifier” is not connected to any form of politics whatsoever. He entered filmmaking with the intention of creating entertainment, not politics or pushing political agendas or ideologies, even in a slasher movie featuring a killer clown. His passion lies in horror films as they provide pure enjoyment and that’s the kind he enjoys making. The crew behind “Terrifier 1” and beyond has always been diverse, with members from both Republican and Democratic parties. He welcomes anyone to be part of it, provided they are good people. This inclusive attitude extends to the fan base as well.

Put simply, Terrifier 4 is intended to be entirely devoid of contentious politics or personal agendas – a refreshing escape in today’s climate.

According to horror news site Bloody Disgusting, it’s likely that David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera, who play Art the Clown and Sienna Shaw respectively, will return to their roles for the concluding part of the series.

If true, the fans will be ecstatic to see them again.

The Terrifier film series has gained significant recognition and popularity throughout the years. Its initial release hit movie theaters in 2016, while its sequel in 2022 played a crucial role in reviving the struggling movie industry by earning substantial profits at the box office.
