As an ardent fan of the Test Drive series, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the release of Solar Crown since its announcement. After what seems like an eternity of delays, it’s finally within our grasp! The prospect of diving back into the vibrant world of Hawaiian highways and exotic supercars has my heart racing.
Following several setbacks, the highly anticipated “Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown” by Nacon is slated for release next month on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5. Gamers playing on consoles will have a chance to join a beta session this month, while those who pre-ordered the Gold Edition can enjoy early access to the VIP Beta starting from August 13th at 8 AM UTC until the 18th.
As a long-time gamer with years of experience in the gaming industry, I must say that I am somewhat disappointed by the latest developments regarding the upcoming game. Initially, I was thrilled when I learned that pre-ordering certain editions would grant me early access to the open beta. However, it appears that this open beta has been cancelled and only those who pre-order specific physical versions will get a chance to participate in the closed beta instead.
Additionally, Nacon clarified that during the beta phase, the game will run in a work-in-progress Quality mode with a maximum of 30 frames per second. This means that the visuals and performance won’t reflect the game’s ultimate quality, and further information is forthcoming.
Experience the launch of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown on September 12th! Please note that this game requires a constant internet connection, as it’s an online-only title. For additional information, click here.
