Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Video Highlights Improved Visuals, Sense of Speed, and More

As a seasoned racer with decades of virtual wheel time under my belt, I must admit that the latest sneak peek at Nacon’s Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has me revving up with anticipation. The improvements in graphics, lighting, and physics are like a finely-tuned engine humming to life, ready for the race of a lifetime.

There’s been some apprehension surrounding Nacon’s Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown lately, as the scheduled console beta dates have caused confusion and the original announced open beta seems to have vanished. Moreover, the inclusion of a ‘Quality mode’, which runs at 30 FPS, has raised eyebrows among some players.

Nevertheless, some new work-in-progress footage is available, highlighting many improvements made to the racing title. These include better graphics and lighting, physics improvements for grip driving and drifting, increased traffic density and more. The sense of speed also comes across as more exhilarating.

Beyond just saying that, the interior details are superior, allowing the player an immersive first-person view of their seat belts and arms. While it remains to be seen if the finished product will be even more visually appealing, at least this offers a degree of confidence.

“You can start playing ‘Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown’ on September 12th, available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. The console versions will provide two graphical modes. For those who own Silver Streets/Sharps Edition, a closed beta runs from August 27th to 30th. Keep an eye out for further updates in the meantime.”
