As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless pixelated landscapes and virtual worlds, I must say that Tetris Forever‘s latest update has truly sparked my inner child’s joy. Having played the original Tetris on my trusty Game Boy back in the day, it’s fascinating to see how this classic game continues to evolve.
In a new development, the recently released classic game collection titled “Tetris Forever” by Digital Eclipse, now offers an additional playable version of the timeless and cherished falling block puzzle game that many know and love.
After installing the newest game update, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with Welltris – a game that was featured in the interactive documentary, allowing you to experience it firsthand.
Originally, Welltris debuted on MS-DOS, serving as Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov’s first subsequent project. In this game, various pieces cascade from every edge of the screen into a central container. Your objective is to fill lines horizontally or vertically on all sides to make room for additional blocks.
Additionally, an update for customizable controls has been added to Tetris Time Warp, the latest version of the game designed exclusively for Tetris Forever. Now, each player can personally adjust their control settings according to preference. Furthermore, this feature of control remapping has also been incorporated into some of the classic games within the collection, including Electronika 60, MS-DOS, and Apple II versions.
In a recent announcement, Digital Eclipse has shared that they’re continuing to develop new updates for Tetris Forever. They’re looking at additional games to incorporate into the platform, and they aim to address player feedback by implementing desired features and fixing any reported issues.
Additionally, the upcoming year will bring an exciting overhaul for Tetris Time Warp, which includes the introduction of numerous fresh features and game modes.
It appears that the collection will carry on expanding and enhancing in 2025. By chance, have you been enjoying Tetris Forever lately? Does the addition of Welltris to the list of available games make you happy? Feel free to share your thoughts on this development in the comments section below.
