Tetris Forever offers a marvelous assembly of timeless puzzle gameplay, blending an extensive library of block-dropping games with behind-the-scenes insights and historical clips, following in the footsteps of Digital Eclipse’s recent releases such as Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration and The Making of Karateka. It appears there’s yet untold tales to be shared; Tetris Forever’s “largest update ever” is now active, offering two additional games from the series’ rich history (alongside improvements on existing titles), all at no cost for everyone.
With certainty, you’ll recognize two classic games that originated from the illustrious MS-DOS era: Spectrum Holobyte’s 1991 Super Tetris and AcademySoft’s 1988 Tetris version 3.12. (Kudos to Eurogamer.) These additions are quite exciting, and it’s truly impressive to see the developers’ dedication towards safeguarding video game heritage, a cause we wholeheartedly support.
