Currently, Leo Woodall is experiencing a surge of success. Following his appearances in The White Lotus and One Day, he’s now sharing the screen with Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, and he’s also the main star in the action-packed series Prime Target on Apple TV+.
Indeed, with his recent performances showcasing him as a romantic lead and accidental action star, there’s been speculation about whether he might be suitable to don a tuxedo and assume the role of James Bond, as the new actor for this iconic character hasn’t been chosen yet.
Recently, Woodall was queried by Variety if he’d consider playing the Bond character. To this, he chuckled and responded: “It seems like every British actor is being asked that!
“That call hasn’t come yet,” he added, before admitting: “Yeah, I’d do Bond.”

In the story “Mad About the Boy”, Woodall portrays Roxster, Bridget’s new romantic interest who leaps into a pool to rescue a frantic canine, mirroring Hugh Grant’s character Daniel Cleaver from the original movie when he famously jumped into a pond for a similar purpose.
Absolutely, it’s accurate that Woodall isn’t off base when he points out many British actors are being queried about playing Bond. In recent times, Josh O’Connor, Cosmo Jarvis, and Luke Evans have been added to the list of potential contenders, which previously included Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Regé-Jean Page.
Simultaneously, another potential actor has stepped up, not for the main character role, but to portray a future villain of Bond – Ke Huy Quan.
According to what was shared with Empire magazine, the actor from Loki expressed his interest in taking on a villainous role. He mentioned that he’d enjoy playing a character like a Bond villain or something similar to Hugh Grant’s role in Heretic. Essentially, he wants to challenge himself by portraying an intensely wicked antagonist. He finds the idea of stepping out of his comfort zone and embodying this malevolent figure quite appealing.
