As a devoted fan of Richard Curtis’ heartwarming cinematic tales and an ardent music enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate the release of “That Christmas”. The blend of familiar faces, a new animated setting, and a snowstorm reminiscent of my own winter escapades piques my curiosity. The star-studded soundtrack, featuring classics like “Wannabe” by The Spice Girls and Ed Sheeran’s original composition “Under the Tree”, promises to elevate the festive spirit.
Director Richard Curtis, known for “Love Actually,” returns with a new holiday-themed film, titled “That Christmas,” which marks his debut in the world of animation.
The film, which is adapted from a trio of picture books Curtis published in 2021, revolves around a handful of familiar preparing for Christmas Day in the fictional coastal town of Wellington-on-Sea.
However, during the town’s worst-ever snowstorm, parents become divided from their children, leading to a chaotic holiday season filled with Christmas confusion.
A brilliant soundtrack accompanies the action, which even features an original song by pop superstar Ed Sheeran.
