The Accident viewers can’t stop watching Netflix series many are calling insane

As a seasoned cinephile who has traversed the cinematic landscapes of various nations and genres, I must admit that The Accident has piqued my curiosity. Having spent countless hours immersed in the melodramatic tapestry of telenovelas from the Latin world, I find myself oddly drawn to this Mexican drama.

Currently ranked ninth on UK Netflix charts (as of September 3rd), it’s evident that viewers are drawn to the captivating new Mexican drama, “The Accident.”

The storyline focuses on Daniela and Emiliano, a pair, as they organize a birthday celebration for their little boy. However, misfortune befalls them when an unanticipated gust of wind occurs, causing a terrible mishap resulting in the demise of three young kids.

Amidst the finger-pointing between parents and the fallout they’re dealing with, the community is left in a state of upheaval. Yet, some are finding humor in the situation, posting about the soap opera-like drama on Twitter, describing it as overly dramatic and “chaotic.”

One viewer posted on Twitter, which has been re-branded as X: “Just laughed so hard I cried because I started the 2nd most popular show on Netflix called “the accident” and they spend 20 mins building up to the tragic event which is that at a kids birthday party it got really windy and a bounce house full of kids flew away”.

I couldn’t help but burst into tears from laughing so hard! I just began watching “The Accident,” Netflix’s second-most popular series. For nearly 20 minutes, they skillfully set up the heartbreaking incident where, during a child’s birthday party, a bouncy castle filled with kids was carried away by strong winds.

A user suggested: “If you have nine hours available, and are looking for an engaging show that’s somewhat like a soap opera but with each episode featuring wild developments, might I recommend ‘The Accident’ on Netflix?”

One individual exclaimed, “It’s absolutely mind-blowing!!!”, whereas another described it as “extremely poor” yet admitted to being “fascinated by it.”

A different spectator, expressing enthusiasm for “at least 50 additional” installments following their initial viewing, admitted to having momentarily forgotten “the excessively theatrical nature of soap operas and oddly found themselves yearning for it again.”

Another viewer expressed their sentiment as follows: “I thoroughly enjoyed ‘The Accident’ on Netflix. I couldn’t resist binging it all in one day. It fits my taste for organized disorder.”

Additionally, there were various, heartfelt responses from viewers. One spectators expressed that they “I was shedding their tears streaming tears oft’s one eye, the other was busy crying’, while another mentioned having to pause the viewing due to being ‘too sad to continue watching’.

One more said it was “sooo good but sad”, while another called it “a must watch”.
