This time, he partners with his brother, Brax (played by Jon Bernthal), to unravel the murder of the Treasury chief. In a recent chat with THR, director O’Connor disclosed that the lightsaber glimpsed in “The Accountant 2” was an impromptu inclusion. However, an issue arose as O’Connor hadn’t obtained Disney’s approval for the lightsaber prior to filming the scene. How can we continue developing the characters?” I always strive to develop the characters more. So when I got to the set, my prop master, J.P. Jones, was the first person I approached. I said, “I require a lightsaber. Find me one quickly so I can extend the scene until later in the day.

As a matter of fact, we never bothered to ask Disney for permission. I just went ahead and filmed it without getting their approval. Luckily, they turned out to be understanding about the whole situation, but in all honesty, I hadn’t even considered asking for their permission beforehand. We simply filmed it.
