The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Midsummer’s Mirage and the Journey of Dreams adds PS5 and PC versions, launches October 2 in Japan

The visual novel titled “The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Midsummer’s Mirage and the Journey of Dreams” is set to release on October 2 in Japan, priced at 5,280 yen. This release will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The publisher, Bushiroad Games, has confirmed that both English and Japanese language options will be supported. Additionally, a limited edition of the game will be offered for 11,000 yen.

Originally, it was just confirmed for Nintendo Switch this month that “The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Midsummer’s Mirage and the Journey of Dreams” would be released. However, a premature YouTube page for the game’s opening movie, initially scheduled for today, went live a whole month ago. This mistake prematurely revealed the inclusion of PlayStation 5 and PC versions, along with an October 2 release date. Today marks the first official confirmation of these details.

Here is the story synopsis, via the official website:

A non-human being living alone in the night of London.

One night, he encounters a young girl named Letty, calling for help amidst the fog.

Freeing her from the shadows, he discovers that she’s lost her recollections, unaware of why or how she found herself in such a place. Over time, they form a bond of friendship.

Eager to aid his longtime companion, the artificial intelligence known as Sol, embarks on a journey to locate Elias and Chise, whom he’s only heard whispers about from the fairies. His goal is to restore Letty’s lost memories.
