How To Upgrade The Viper-5
In Stalker 2, just like any other weapon, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance the Viper-5 at a Tech merchant. The initial vendor you’ll come across is Lens in Zalissya. He will offer you various upgrades for the weapon at a fair price, all of which will boost its performance, and one such upgrade will unlock extra features for the weapon.

The most important decision you have to make when upgrading the Viper-5 is whether to change its caliber, as that update is irreversible for that particular version of the weapon.
In other parts of the world, the Viper-5 models you may encounter will all fire 9mm rounds. While the damage boost from the upgrade is beneficial, the accompanying 20% rise in recoil can be quite challenging, given that this weapon is already rather jumpy.
In the initial stages of your journey, 0.45 caliber ammunition tends to be scarcer and pricier. However, as you progress towards more perilous and remote areas within the Zone, it becomes less expensive and easier to find.
It’s highly recommended that you perform most upgrades on the Viper-5 if you plan to use it frequently, as they generally provide significant value. There are also numerous other exceptional options worth exploring in the wilderness.
How To Find The Viper-5 Drum Mag
There are two ways to get the Viper-5 Drum Mag, and you’ll need to explore the Zone to find them.
A convenient method to acquire it is by heading towards the designated Radiation Hazard Signs Storage area in the northeastern Lesser Zone. You’ll find a tiny shelter on the complex’s eastern side, with a pile of crates beneath a metal canopy nearby. Feel free to climb onto or break these crates to uncover a hidden cache that includes the Drum Mag and additional supplies.
In addition, you have an opportunity to acquire a Viper-5, fitted with the Shah’s Mate special weapon, that comes with the Drum Mag attachment. To do so, you should engage in conversation with Docent during the “No Honor Among Thieves” quest. Completing this interaction will grant you access to the Shah’s Stash, which is located northwest of the Slag Heap within the Garbage region.
The Drum Mag attachment can’t be removed from the Shah’s Mate, but you are able to add other accessories to it instead.
How To Find The Holographic Sight
In the vast world of Stalker 2, the holographic sight is a widely available and user-friendly option among many sights. Notably, these holo sights can be obtained from various prominent merchants scattered throughout the game.
- Hamster in Zalyissya in the Lesser Zone.
- Sidorovich in the Rookie Village in Cordon.
- Huran at the Slag Heap in Garbage.
- WO Komisarov in Cement Factory in the Cement Factory.
- Ragman in Rostok in, well, Rostok.
- Owl at the Sultansk in Zaton.
- Beard at the Shevchenko in Zaton.
- Viktoria Dorozhnyuk at UTC Malachite in Malachite.
- Quiet at Quiet’s Camp in Wild Island for the early parts of the game.
- Wreck at Yaniv Station in Yaniv.
If you’ve built a favorable relationship with the Ward, you could alternatively acquire a holographic sight from Sgt. Khoteyev within the Icarus compound located in the Chemical Plant area. However, keep in mind that this option is only available if your standing with the Ward is positive.
As an enthusiast, here’s how I would put it: To set up the holographic site on my Viper-5, I have to acquire and install the Sight Mount first. After that, I need to select the weapon as one of my primary weapons. Lastly, I should drag the holographic sight from my inventory onto the gun, which should securely attach.
How To Get The Pistol Silencer
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about securing the elusive Pistol Silencer, the third and last attachment for my trusty Viper-5. This particular item isn’t just hard to find, it’s a true treasure hunt that tests your mettle. But fear not, for the rewards in the late game are more than worth the effort.
In our search, we managed to locate just two businesses that offered the Pistol Silencer: a vendor situated at Yaniv Station in the northwestern region of the Zone, and another individual named Arkhyp Lichen stationed at the Pile Driver compound within the eastern Red Forest.
Reaching these spots can be quite challenging, particularly in the early stages of the game. But if you make your way to Yaniv, you’ll gain access to a fast travel point that lets you jump straight into the endgame whenever it suits you (assuming it’s accessible for you).
